was the tweet deleted? if it wasn't, what was she not allowed to say the term "all in" because CEA says "all in"? and clearly they've trademarked it and she can't use such a phrase when describing her own team? :p

I admit to bias and gold colored glasses, but I don't see the problem.

I don't think that's what her point is. (They can say anything they want to) Her point is that a double standard does exist that a team we compete against in our division would use a very well known hashtag while tweeting their love about their own team and not a word is said about it.

Contrast that to......What if last night CSP tweeted after practice "I'm so GaGa over Senior Elite right now." Would there or would there not be a thread 32 pages long talking about what a bad sport she is so it's no wonder her kids are bad sports etc etc or would twitter not implode? Hell, wasn't it 3 months ago that Twitter imploded because we had what was described as "Part of Panthers music in our mix" when it was quite literally a Wootwhoot (which to me was old school Georgia Coed 4 mix so Panthers must have taken it from them)

See to someone like me that does not follow the top teams nor pays much attention to the rivalries, this says nothing to me at all. I don't follow their results and generally don't care unless I have a team competing in their division at the same competition. But to those that do follow rivalries, story lines, etc, I can see where it may perhaps be stretched to be considered throwing shade at someone. But who, I have no idea.

Senior Elite has been using #allin on social media since probably 2010/11. Again, nobody cares she used it......they can say anything they want.
It's the double standard that if CSP or the Smoed coaches had done the same thing people would be on twitter and in the Cali thread losing their minds.

That is her point, unless I missed the point too. LOL

This was exactly my point. CSP can't tweet about the sun shining without half the cheer world taking offense. If the roles were reversed the majority would find it very offensive and classless and would be attacking CSP for it. The tweet may not have been an intentional slam but it wasn't the best choice of words.

I feel like it probably wasn't blown up to a 32-page thread because Elaine only has about 4500 followers, CSP has 20k. The likelihood of people seeing Elaine's tweet to get up in arms about it is drastically smaller. I'm not saying her word choice was the best, or that the double standard doesn't exist, just that with a much smaller "viewership", if you will, I think there's less of a chance for it to blow into a huge issue.

Mrs. Smith-Pope: Oranges on clearance today. Score!

Cheer World: OBVIOUS SHADE TOWARD ORANGE! SO UNSPORTSMANLIKE.

I follow CEA rivalries and I don't get the controversy. Unless the shade is saying that SE is not 'All in' because they just changed their entire routine---otherwise, I don't get the shade?

ETA: I agree there is a double standard

Please people... Mrs P is not a social media guru and has only been tweeting about 12 months or so.... She doesnt read it or follow... just tweets her thoughts now and again.
I'm sure no shade was intentionally thrown... she doent even know what a hashtag is.... ( at least i dont think she does) She was pleased that her the team rallied together and was trying to tweet her approval ( more so for the actual team members)I dont really think shes aware of SE team motto....
You guys gotta stop with the conspirarcy theories and making mountains out of mole hills... geesh
Looking forward to UCA and seeing all the great teams and sportsmanship that these hard working ladies have developed!

I'm knocking on some serious wood as I type this, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the lack of drama coming out of the black and blue CA this season. With the exception of this summer, I feel like both coaches and the team as a whole have settled down and it's made watching them a lot more enjoyable. Of course World's is coming and who knows if this will last...but it's been a refreshing change from the past few seasons.

I'm sure you're right. And as I said before....as far as I'm concerned she can tweet anything she wants. But, there is a double standard in the industry even if nobody wants to say it.

I also am looking forward to seeing everybody (we'll miss you Panthers!!) in the division and best of luck to S!!!

See I did not know that because I don't follow too many people on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or wherever. If they follow me it is one thing but I typically do not add anyone unless I personally know them. I know that is not how it is supposed to be used...lol. I only hear their or any other gyms music but my own if I am at a competition they are at.

As you know I have said for years about the double standards and agree they can go several different ways.

What happened to the Panther's?
