I initially thought that the North an CA were pointing towards Northern California, but I think I was reading into it.

Or maybe not?

honestly, New Jersey has the population density and popularity of cheer to support it, but a new friggen gym opens up there every other day. please no.
I actually think NJ would be a terrible spot, and not for the obvious reason ;) While cheer is popular, there is a lack of new cheerleaders. Most NJ gyms have seen their numbers decrease this season. Plus rent alone is more than I even want to think of. I really can't think of an area in state that could support another big gym. It's an overly saturated market.

More info coming tomorrow, according to Twitter. Not today :(
A location I hadn't thought of: Indianapolis or surrounding areas. What gyms are there? None are coming to mind.
Also Missouri is looking more and more possible.
Indy & the surrounding Southern Indiana area (think IU) has a surprising amount of gyms. Just off the top of my head.. Terre Haute Cheer University, Indiana Elite, ICE Indy, Interactive Academy, Hollywood Allstars.. etc. However, central Indiana and the very top (northwest) has very few gyms. I'm an athlete in the Northwest Indiana area so a CA would be awesome, lol. But there's not a huge chance of that happening. If CA did come to Indiana, the Indy area would be most likely because that's where most athletes are. Since it's more up north than any other location it's gotta either be the east coast, the Midwest.

A CA Missouri would REALLY shake things up around here. I'm not sure surrounding gyms would be able to survive, which I think is important. I guess it would depend on where in the state it was located. But their other locations are in NC and Texas, where cheer is really big, and as much as I would love it, I don't see Missouri being the same kind of market that they seem to be drawn to.
Imagine if they went to Cali... "Do you mean the Cali CA, or CA Cali?"

You are right. Many parents and athletes have been wishing for them to come to Missouri for years.

Side note: I know one gym in MO has been sold but I am not sure who officially bought it as there has been no official announcement. Still waiting to find out who has that one. Pretty sure we will find it out before tryouts though.

*havent read the whole thread yet so don't crucify me*

But I agree with this. Also, most competitions are Jam Brands instead of "Varsity" (even thought everything is now varsity so idk if that matters). Meaning there are very few summit competitions and fewer opportunities for bids without pretty significant travel. I've been told that AB Nationals is giving out summit bids next season but that's just what I heard, nothing confirmed. Which means there are only two (maybe three) KC summit bid opportunities. Not sure how STL and Springfield comps will shift as far as that goes.
