I'll never give a penny of my money to cheerupdates for various reasons.....and like @King mentioned there are free options which makes much more sense to me

What I foresee eventually happening is all the event producers will automatically export the results to the web. Maybe via Twitter maybe not. But as most scoring (not all but most) is done electronically scores are technically available 4 minutes or so after a team competes. No outside opinion, no transcription errors, just straight data to the cloud. I don't think these EPs, once setup, are going to let an outside company handle their data. And just as FloCheer is now the official video streaming provider for 90% of cheerleading so it is kept inhouse, so will be the same for the data. Just a matter of time.

Here's one from just now. They released the nifty "you just hit" gif for worlds and someone asked an honest question about it and he gave an unnecessary condescending response

Wow. I also find it interesting who chooses to comment supportively on snarky posts.

There is now a USASF app for free that does the same thing. Android and Twitter.

I foresee a LOT of apps coming out. It just makes sense.
The USASF one looks really thought out. Looks like you can stream from it when you sign up for the stream, look at who's judging, pull up results and schedules, and more. That is a great tool.

(Plus the design is better. No drop shadow text or random colors for no reason!)

Maybe I should do another blog post after worlds comparing the two. Now that might be interesting. [emoji6][emoji848]

Id like that idea.

Side note: I was reading through your blog last night. I want to shimmy that "Never hire an all star cheerleader" post you did a thousand times over. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I loved it.

Just got the USASF app. I turned on notifications for every cheer division haha. So now I can stay updated even though I can't get the stream:rolleyes:

Wow [emoji18] Thank you for the kind words.

Many folks have seen that and "Realizing there is absolutely no point to Allstar Cheerleading" floating around Facebook. Then they are like "OMG you wrote that? But, like... Your a Dad" [emoji23][emoji23]

did he hire a middle school kid to pick the font style? i don't think i've ever seen that style used outside of a middle school power point presentation, and that's where it should stay.

It could be worse, at least it's not comic sans!!!

I've noticed that lots of women seem to love to bash cheer, even more fervently than men. Even when I cheered, we only got crap from girls' sports teams.
It's ok, I just think she was just trying to be "funny". I have learned positive always overpowers the negative. I look at it this way, if she did not say it, I never would have written that piece. Hopefully, the piece will uplift others and make people think. So some good will come out of it. BTW.. I love your content! Keep up the great work.
