Ha ha, the CBC announcers mixed up the lane numbers for Lochte and Phelps halfway through the race and were freaking out that Lochte had won and Phelps was way back until the results logo popped up over the lanes showing it was Phelps. There was some quick quiet "oops, we mixed up the lane numbers" before they went back to announcing

I wish Lochte had at least medaled but Phelps owned that race. He killed the breast stroke leg. He as so far ahead in the last 50 that the announcers could not believe it.

My fav moments of the Olympics so far have been Phelps beating Le Clos, Raisman winning silver, and Simone Manuel winning gold. That look on her face when she realized she (and Oleksiak) won gold was priceless. I'm tearing up all over again.

I had to sleep with a Thermacare back wrap due to my aggressive screaming, cheering and jumping on the couch during Simone Manuel's race.... And during Phelps vs Lochte.

Penny Oleksiak is amazing. I don't understand how you can be so great at 16. I'm pretty sure at 16 I was concerned mostly about missing an episode of The OC.

To hold records like she is at her age makes me beyond pumped to see her in 2020. I also like how she never looks at the board to see her rank right away. She always waits a bit.

I love that her and Manuel won. Things like that make me so happy and are exactly why I love the Olympics so much. It's the whole "anything can happen at the Olympics" factor.

Simone Manuel was the best thing to happen yesterday. Legit made me get teary about 5 times.

Sweden just beat out usa in women's soccer quarterfinals. But the referees kinda destroyed the game. But happy for our ladies. Since its only girls who do good for Sweden so far.
