So how does it work for summit bids- when levels competing for same bid are in different arenas? Looks like 4.2 and senior restricted are in one arena but junior restricted and jr 5 are in another? Yet they all compete for the same at large bid. Doesn’t seem fair if one arena is scoring higher/lower than the other.

Um duh.. just like at most competitions they write the names of all the teams on slips of paper and throw them into the air and whichever ones they catch first get the bids. Do we really even care about scores? ;)

I will take the password as well as I am usually the keeper of the schedule for my group of cheer moms. I knew I should have printed it before. Thanks!

I'm so excited for the competition this weekend. It's one of my favorite comps. My daughter's team is so ready. I hope they don't let their nerves get to them. Some of them have never been to such a big comp. So yall send some good vibes our way. They really are a great group of kids and after tonight's full outs, I saw tons of smiles and confidence. Just what they need.

Excited for everyone to be in Charlotte this weekend! I live in Uptown about a half mile from the convention center. Hit me up if anyone needs any parking recommendations or FOOD recommendations (my favorite topic).

Good luck to everyone! This was always one of my favorite competitions. May the results be accurate and the Starbucks line be short.

Would love some good food recommendations within walking distance from convention center.

Of course! Amelie's is a cute cafe and bakery and it's open late. (Like 7am to midnight I think.) They've got coffee, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, salads, beer, wine and AMAZING pastries. I 100% recommend even if it's not for a full meal. Get the salted caramel brownie, it's famous.

Some of my faves around the convention center: Cowbell (burgers), Duckworths (sports bar), Valhalla (small Irish pub), JJ's (gourmet hot dogs). Right across College Street there's a soul food restaurant called Merts. I personally have not tried it but I've heard great things. There's also a Fuel Pizza where you can get pizza by the slice. If you've got a little bit of time to kill walk a couple blocks to the Epicentre for a few more chain restaurants and some shopping and nightlife. Romare Bearden Park is close by and very pretty when the weather is nice.
