All-Star International Open Coed 5 Teams 2010-2011

This division is INSANE! At this rate we will have to get our cardboard signs ready to protest outside the USASF offices to have the "BEST" teams placed in there appropriate positions, instead of giving intl teams a willy wonka chocolate factory ticket to finals just because they are the best team in their country. I believe this past year it was like 2 teams from Japan in this division and they both went to finals for nothing! Theoretically they could have dropped every stunt and laid across the floor eating chips during their dance section and walk right into finals while California All-stars and Gymtyme tumble and stunt the floor to pieces and not make it! Ughhhh I hate these weird money hungry rules!!!

The only way to maybe get this changed is for the American teams to BOYCOTT the international division which I doubt will happen. The non US teams have the same opportunity to get as good as we do! I think they should at least take the top 5 US teams to finals. Yes the top 5 would be all US teams in the end but at least it's a lot more fair and cost effective for some of these US teams.

This division to me is growing too big to only take 3 US teams!

I agree, I think there is like 40 something teams in this division. Taking only top 3 is ridiculous. IMO I think it lessens the competition at worlds. There are so many great teams in this division and worlds is supposed to be about competing against the best of the best.

I understand that this division is meant to help the teams from around the world, but the way it's set up doesn't work based on the number of teams we have. If you're going to let only the top 3 advance why let so many teams get a bid? I don't think they should reduce the number of bids this division gets, but at least in the other divisions you go knowing you have a shot at making it to day two. In this division you go knowing you have a small chance of making it to day two. You're spending all this money just for the experience. We have many talented Int. teams and they just don't get recognized at the biggest comp of the year. It really needs to be changed to let more teams into finals. Just imagine if those teams stopped attending....

I'm with you! Im sure there is some way to have this discussed in a meeting or something before Worlds 2011! Maybe we can start a petition or have a letter written. King, Acedad, anybody.....HELPPPPP!!!!!

As long as teams still continue to pay the money to go there will be no reason to change the rule. Hit em in the pocket and THAT will get their attention. We can scream and cry unfair, but if we continue to attend, ask yourself this......Why would YOU change the rule....

No need to change anything because teams still keep coming knowing they have no chance at day 2 unless you're 1 of the BIG 3.

I think that in the International Open divisions there should be a percentage of a country's teams that make it to finals. Just like the US Government, a state is represented by how large their population is. The more teams a country brings to worlds, the more opportunity they have of getting to finals.

I like this a lot. If you said 40-50 % of the teams. And no less than 3 teams from each country. So every country with 6 teams or less (all of them) would get 3. And we could have 8 ish.

Also. World cup lazers are level 6. So take us off the list.

Were really trying to develop and grow the team this year. Next year is a better possibility of level 5.

We still have spots open for a couple of boys. And a couple great flyers. So spread the word!! And maybe you'll see a level 5

I'm new to this division and been out of all star cheer for awhile but I'm excited to be competing in this division against soo many big name teams! But I agree about only the top 3 teams making it to finals is a bogus rule, I think it should be more from the u.s. I think someone should at least maybe try and change the rule? I know boycotting was mentioned at the only way they will listen but there has to be another way, in my opinion. It doesn't hurt to at least try
