I think the Tax ID's are the most interesting because in effect it will have nothing to do with what happens on the mat (for example Happy stated he would just have one umbrella Tax ID to represent ACE to keep it as one giant program). It is a way for us to define a gym. But in turn that means a gym will have to be a legal entity. I think Justin stated that over half the customers do not have a Tax ID (for the Varsity family rebate plan).

Tax Id's are great. Just make sure the right forms are in (even though they wont get them because they are out of the office for a month) or youre going to get a whole lot of harrassing phone calls.

Even though Youth 5 was eliminated and people proposed a youth 5 restricted, a junior 5 restricted has been introduced incorporating all of those younger athletes that would have been on the youth 5 restricted, so I don't think it will be overturned.

But they could look at the overwhelming votes to restrict Youth 5 should the elimination of Youth 5 not pass. I would think that would weigh more than looking at the Junior Restricted alternative vote.

The ones that passed with a slim margin I can see being overturned. I think its the unanimous ones that passed would cause the most uproar.

Crossovers and Tax ID ones.

Yeah, although I can see them splitting the difference on crossovers, letting the two-team rule stand but tweaking or eliminating the percentage rule. That's one that I think has a bit of a punitive effect on small gyms that may need to crossover 30 or 40 percent of one team to make another. I'm more concerned with crossovers between levels, which aren't addressed in these new rules at all.

I think I am most shocked by the change in division by years. It passed to move Tinys to 6 and under Minis to 9 and under, Youth 12 and under, Juniors 15 and under. I don't remember anyone discussing this here on the boards when the rule was submitted, but I could be wrong. What do you think will happen long term because of this (if it does not get overturned)?

The biggest thing that jumped out to me:
Youth kids (age 12) can now be on youth and go to Worlds (senior is 12-19) so this overlaps again.
Junior teams can have 16 year olds on them (15 and under turning 16 throughout the year), or 6 year olds!!

I'm surprised this isn't causing more uproar, especially that the age ranges are going to possibly be different..maybe people are still at school/work and haven't seen this yet?

I'm surprised Open 4 didn't pass, I'm surprised at how many close votes there were, and pleased with large team vote and the restructuring of coed. 3 divisions is good enough for me!

#28 and #30 are in direct conflict with each other.
To paraphrase:
#28 Change the age grid = NO
#30 Change the age grid to the following = YES

We cant have it both ways, therefore something is going to get overturned. I would think it would be #30 that will be overturned.

Only if they want to compete I believe. It has nothing to do with practicing. I could be wrong.

Well I think that it obviously would be better to have one date for everything. Membership, eligibility, season start dates. Just so everyone is on the same page.

I do not understand why the report was generated just after noon on January 8th and yet the voting was from January 4th until January 9th
Anyone else notice that?

Voting was only until 9:00 PM on January 7th.
