All-Star Gyms That Have "disappeared"

Just saw Metro last weekend and pretty sure I saw Jersey Elite on an upcoming schedule. As for Vortex, we have 5 teams this season including an open 6 team for the 2nd season. Sadly the area lost TNT but the kids are all elsewhere and the gym seems to be doing well housing highschool and rec teams.

i miss east elite small seniors with all of my heart! but maryland vipers are now baltimore vipers... some of the originals are still part of the staff.

. I love EE small seniors so much! There worlds 09 routine...amazing. There's an ECE sr 5,but it's not the same

i competed in the junior div. at worlds in 08, and remember being AMAZED by Austin Cheer Factory (placed 2nd!)and since have been looking for them!
where did they go!

Cheer Dynasty out of Va! i think everyone went to Legacy, but this gym was really getting up there with the rest of the popular level 5 teams...idk what happened after that those were my favorite uniforms of all time i think the ones from 06-08.

I think Dynasty is now part of Vipers.

Last I heard of Staten Island Spirit (and just checked the website), they listed the 2010-2011 season on their website. However, their facebook page only lists 12 friends, and I'm having a hard time finding them on competition sheets. I can't imagine there's lots of cheer to be found on SI, but maybe that's where all the NYC people go.

Unfortunately I think some people have the right intention but as people hear things along the way it become more credible to them than false and they do what everyone else on the boards do, post it. Such as the example with PowerXBaby, she doesn't cheer for power anymore but would NEVER say anything she didn't believe was not true about power, as most of us know who know her on the boards she is power's biggest advocate. So I am sure when she posted Kelly taking a power team to storm she had the best intentions, not thinking it was a rumor or just making it up. So I think most of the false information on here isn't set up to straight out lie or be a rumor ( yes, there are those cases) but most people think their information has some sort of credibility so it is posted with the best intentions. So maybe even though it may be frustrating at times, we should cut some slack because they are simply doing what the boards were meant for: posting what people truly believe to be credible information.

Thank you. Yes, of course I didn't post it trying to start a rumor or anything, I thought it was true because of where it came from. The way it sounded to me wasn't that kelly was giving up her gym or anything like that, but that she was being forced out. I know she would never intentionally give up her name, but thinking she was being forced out of her gym, I believed it. I'm sorry to Kelly for posting what I did, I didn't mean any harm. There is absolutely no truth to that rumor, but again, because of who I heard it from, I thought it was true. Kelly called me to set the record straight. I'm sorry for any trouble that comment has caused.

side note, do ya'll remember turners allstars? i know they were really good back in the day, then I didn't see them for a few years. I've seen them at some of the comps i've worked around here, but I'm not really sure if it's the same gym? lol they are mostly lower level and younger teams, no level 5. and they added pink to their uniforms....

its the same TUrners, chrissy. we competed against them in senior open five last year and i saw them this year at a comp too

Extreme Allstarzz in IL? Not sure what happened to them. They were blue & black. They had some pretty decent teams 6 or 7 years ago but there website is no longer part of JAM and haven't heard anything about them in a LONG time.

Where are they hiding? lol... I've been competing all over the area and haven't seen or heard from these teams in about 4 years. Or is it that they only do locals?

What other teams does vortex have this year? Doing any big comps? I used to coach a youth 2 team eons ago that was always against you guys, and we took turns placing 1st and 2nd to each other all season lol
