1. When people feel entitled to first place, when they clearly don't appeal to the company judging.
2. Awards that run way behind and yet they still insist on playing 15 songs until they announce some winners.
3. White uniforms that are clearly dirty. I have a mostly-white uniform and if I can keep it clean, anyone can.

When other teams are RUDE  because you beat them :)
&& Even some coaches from different teams that laugh when you get second & they end up getting third in their division :p yeah they're rude too! haha.

When I have to pay $15-20 to get into a local gym-sponsored comp held at a high school, or $40 to get into a 2-day National other than Cheersport or NCA.....

Here's one from today: When the comp is running 90 min behind schedule and they allow the teams to do all that nonsense "pump up" cheer before they take the floor and then even though the scores are tallied they do the line dancing crap. Not only were you running 90 min behind schedule, but it was daylight savings-so everyone was tired and "off". Please lets not do all that crap!

where was this?

My biggest pet peeve is skewed judging. CSG completely slammed almost every team from our gym. I watched so many different teams perform yesterday and today and when the results were announced I was shocked. Teams with fewer kids, dropped stunts and touch downs, came in first and second, against teams that had double the flyers and cleaner routines. I know for my gym, and a few other gyms the results were challenged and the judges basically said oops sorry we missed that you did this.....
How can a gym with 3 flyers beat a team with 7 flyers? Why are large gyms grouped with small gyms in the same category. That's like comparing apples to bananas. They are totally different. A large gym can do so much more and yet they will be downgraded when combined because they will not receive credit for maximizing their abilities. You can't compare 5 tumbling passes with a team that has 30. How can a team with a slow moving boring routine receive more points than a team with an amazing upbeat routine. How can judges take off 50% of your dance score because they just don't like your dance? These are the things that CSG judges did! It shouldn't matter if they like your dance or not. Did you perform it well? Did it flow together? Were there collisions?

I can honestly say I hope my team doesn't go back to the CSG comps next year. It really appeared to be who you know not what you know for achieving a victory. Not to mention one gym always seemed to score higher no matter how good they were. How can a team drop stunts or bobble and touch down a few times beat a team with a clean routine???? How can this be??? Reading the fierce boards has showed me my conclusions appear to be correct. If the judges don't like your gym, you don't score well, even if you are clean and amazing. Mini teams were scoring higher than Senior 5 teams. Now if that isn't absurd what is?

The saddest part of the whole weekend was watching a team who performed amazing fall apart because the wrong music was played. I am not sure how a team can have the right music one day and the wrong the next, but I felt awful for that team because nothing was done about it. From what I saw, the girls were all hysterical crying after they left the stage. I can't imagine what those girls felt like knowing how hard they work and then all that hard work get thrown away because of a foolish mistake a coach makes. If I were the coach I would be profusely apologizing and pray my gym doesn't lose all those girls.
