We train kids individually with the goal of each reaching their own fullest potential in the sport. Since we all coach everyone, I'm sure there is a certain path of goals that each kid sets for themselves...but for us we just want to give each kid the opportunity to completely contribute in every way they are capable.
I have learned so many lessons and continue to with each passing year. Mostly I've learned how to love.
I have a conversation with myself every day at the same stop sign coaching myself to be positive and encouraging above all else. I think all people respond best in an environment of earned reward. I am very straightforward and rarely hold back an opinion. The kids know that if I stop practice to compliment someone I mean it. There is a great book called Beyond Basketball by Coach K of Duke University...it changed the way I coach for the better. Kids have to know you are invested in them completely outside of cheerleading to listen to what you say as a coach and trust you.
Someone posted K'ville's teams in another thread.

I was wondering how this location has just as many level 5 teams as level 1-4 teams. Most gyms with strong level 5 teams have a lot of lower level teams. Is it just that the level 5s travel to this location for a team and the lower level athletes stay at the other gyms until it is time to move up? It just seems that with a lack of lower levels it would be hard to produce the same amount of level 5 athletes in the future than you currently do.
Not to answer the question for CEACoach but i do know of athletes that go just to CEA for level 5. Some even travel there just for their super senior year.
Hahah definitely! But I know of athletes who flew in just for tryouts this weekend. And some of us actually live here. LOL It takes all kinds to make this machine work.

What competitions do you take the lower levels to?

What is super senior and is it a CEA term? I lookd in the terms section and didn't see it.
I am pretty sure that a super senior is some one that is older then a senior in high school( like already graduated) but is still age eligible to cheer. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. What is super senior and is it a CEA term? I lookd in the terms section and didn't see it.
