erica engleberts status was "If you've looked at 2by2's account on youtube, you'll notice I no longer have any videos. No more Cheer Extreme Erica.." and someone asked why and her response was "I'm not allowed to say. I'm no longer apart of 2by2 .. No one on Cheer Extreme is." and apparently all CEA videos are being removed from youtube and stuff!

really? maybe we one of us is friends with a poser cause on the erica's i saw the only post is something with jay saying how they love and miss eachother... wow i sound like such a stalker :/ haha

*There are at least 4 fake Ericas, 1 fake Bay, probably 20 fake Maddies, and I'd wager 1 fake of each member, particularly the more well-known ones. Particularly on formspring. And at least 1 girl PRETENDING to be on SE.
*Take everything read on facebook, twitter, formspring with a grain of salt. All those posers make for LOTS of unnecessary rumors and drama.
*And please, if you discover a fake profile, at least on facebook, report it.

That is the profile that I think is the real one. I obviously could be wrong, but this one makes the most sense. It says she is in a relationship with the kid she went to prom with, and that is the only Erica Englebert that Jay Noah is friends with. He also just posted on her wall saying "I love you Erica, just incase there was any question!"

Everyone take a second to delete any fake Erica's you may be friends with. STOP believing everything you hear!

This bears repeating...... The real Erica, Bay, Maddie, etc posts very little information on their sites. I would venture to guess it's to not give the poseurs any ammunition. IF and that's a big IF there were issues between Jay and Erica/Erica's family believe me you wouldn't read about it on Facebook, Twitter or Formspring.

To those that are friends with the fakes please unfollow them. I beg you. THIS is why they keep doing it. If people wouldn't give these people the time of day they would stop doing it.

Report them. Please.

I find it so, so, so disturbing that there are fake profiles for these kids. I've seen fake profiles for hugely famous celebrities and I think that's strange enough, but these are just young kids participating in a club sport. Very creepy and all too reminiscent of a certain old board member.

mmm don't know if they're still around since they blocked me once they knew i figured out it was a poser but there was a really bad poser that was running a poser erica, sandy, daniel, gabie, etc. soo when they all wrote on each others walls it looked real & it said erica & daniel were in a relationship i swear some people dedicate their lives to this stuff

This is so creepy..I don't know how to phrase it any other way. I may come off as a jerk, but why? These girls aren't singers, actresses, movie stars- they're just normal girls who are good at what they do. Obviously they have huge fan followings, but we're all just cheerleaders. I feel so bad for them, just from participating in a high profile team, you have legitimate stalkers. The worst is fake twitters..these people are impersonating someone all.day.long. It's just sad.

I think most of the posers get the pictures from the fan made videos like CHEER EXTREME ERICA 2010! or Erica Englebert Cheer Extreme.
I don't really know why these people are legitimately stealing pictures and identities, but I can tell you, I have seen some profiles/identities that do not include cheerleading, which I have reported.
Maddie and Erica do model for 2by2 so I'm guessing that's where it all comes into play.
However, I think it is very sad how many members of Cheer Extreme have their personal lives invaded by fans.

Not only that, but one of two scenarios can play out:

1) The fake profile, created because someone is a HUGE fan of *insert 'Cheerlebrity' here* so they 'become' them to get attention. This creates two sub-problems
**Either the poser says something that reflects poorly on the person they're pretending to be (even though they don't realize they're actually hurting their idol in their fanaticism). OR
**Once people realize the poser is NOT the person they pretend to be, people harass them like crazy. And if you saw that youtube video of the preteen girl who thought she had 'real' friends on the internet until they turned on her..yeah. Doesn't go well.

2)The fake profile is created due to jealousy/insecurity/personal issues etc and is used as a platform said poser to bash/cause gossip about/make people think the person they're portraying is mean, snotty, rude, unsportsmanlike, etc.

The reality that BOTH perpetrators of these scenarios forget is: these are real, living, breathing girls. MANY of these posers have either never met them, saw them perform at a competition for 2:30 seconds OR met them briefly once in person. THAT'S all they know/don't know about these athletes. Like we've often said here, they're people, not robots. And they're victims of a particularly awful and weird type of identity theft. The same can be said for celebrities: even though many of them can be trashy, attention/fame-seekers, there are plenty who are still normal people who just want to go to Starbucks and get a latte without being mobbed. I wonder if Shawn Johnson has to deal with this..is it harder for us to track because these girls are well-known to us but not as much in the outside community.
