Now what happens with the teams from other countries? Do they have to go through prelims as well? Furthermore, do top 10 from prelims move onto semis? My apologies if I missed an explanation.

So the Maryland Twisters/Vip Athletics small coed 5 isn't attending?

No, because we are currently homeless and all teams practice once a week at a gymnastics gym and that would leave us with only 3 practice to get ready for worlds.

Holy IOC at large bids  I didn't realize there were that many non paid bids in that division.

EP's hate giving paid pids to international teams. And they hate giving them to level 6 more so than they hate giving them to level 5.

Unless the country has more then 10 teams then they do not have a worlds trial round so they will all compete in semi/prelims (not sure what they are calling it). 10 US teams will move on from the worlds trial and then 3 from each country go from there. The US teams that make finals will compete 3 times over the weekend while the other countries will only compete twice (unless there are more then 10 teams from their country there).

Yeah I guess I just didn't realize that that many teams were in the division and going on at large bids. I would think that the 10 moving on will most likely have paid bids so those at large teams are sort of throwing money away for the "experience".

Not that any other country has more than 10 teams, but are you sure that they would have a Trials for them? I don't think it actually says that in the rules, just US. And even international divisions with less than 10 teams have to do US Trials this year.

Just for clearification, Maryland Twisters and VIP Athletics are in no way related. Maryland Twisters small coed 5- Perfect Storm was offered our bid at BATC but due to lack of practice space with our gym being taken away, we decided as a team to decline it and finish out our season at a local competition last month. After Vipers in Baltimore changed to VIP Athletics they also changed Venom to a small coed team instead of keeping their small all girl title. Because of all the quick changes, they didn't go for a bid at all this season and will be finishing their season at U.S Finals in Virginia Beach at the end of the month.:)
