Our prices are detailed online in our AllStar paperwork but it goes a little like this:

Female athletes:
$500.00 deposit
$275 a month for new members
$235 a month for returning members

Male athletes:
$300.00 deposit
$188 a month for new members
$168 a month for returning members

Those prices include everything but actual travel and hotel expenses.
I'm just curious because we do things a bit different in Australia - why is the deposit cost different for male and female athletes?
Do females pay a higher deposit cost because they get extra classes like a flexibility class, or is it just because male athletes are harder to get?

Our gym is $185 a month for tuition. (Tuition is for 2 days of practice and one night of tumbling) 1200 for competition package, 900 for uniform, practice clothes, bow, shoes and makeup. This is our first year at this gym and it is a lot more then we paid at our prior gym. I guess we will see if the higher price is worth it.

Sorry for the double post - but $900 for a uniform!? Does that include a lot of extra practice wear too?

I feel like I should send anyone who complains about my pricing to this thread.

we have all inclusive pricing and break it down into monthly payments-

New Allstar
1st 4 months- $300
Next 5 months- $200
Last 3 month- $100

Returner (already has Uniform, warm up and bag)
1st 9 months- $200
Last 3 months- $100

I like the way you do these. That's awesome

The paper says that it includes 5 pieces for the practice outfits, uniform, bow, shoes, makeup. I am not sure if it covers a jacket or bag. I guess I will find out at the parent meeting this week. I think it sounds high also.

Awesome - thanks for answering :) . The team I'm on this year (in Australia) the uniform is only $160 (including bow and spankies) and the shoes were $75, and then all practice wear is optional so I was just amazed at how high the cost was. If I had the money though (or parents paying for me :) ) I'd definitely be willing to pay more for compulsory practice wear, and comp make up etc

I'm guessing due to the cost of the uniforms - male uniforms tend to cost less... as well as additional tumbling/stretching classes etc.

Our uniforms in general tend to cost a lot less over here! I had a little discussion about this with someone on a thread a while back. I think AASCF's most expensive uniform bracket is like $160 or so? Such a difference! Haha.

The difference in pricing reflects discounted training fees, cheaper practice wear and uniforms and excludes items like bows, makeup etc.

Throughout the years we've just found it easier to present the boys deposit to the parents this way rather than requesting $500 down and lowering their monthlies.

I like the idea of all-inclusive pricing, but I can see how many parents can choke at the costs per month when they're not aware that each competition costs around $50 (or a lot more, especially for two-day comps) per child, and choreographers and music costs are... out of this world (*not saying that these choreographers and music-creators are not professionals or don't deserve their fees, just, wooo, they're expensive). I know new parents are thrown a ton of information at once, but I wonder if a more thorough breakdown of costs, especially external costs, might make tuition seem not so crazy.

I just have to say, though, that I hate when gyms have a $300 (or more) registration fee and don't say why (as in, choreo/music/etc are included in other fees - what is this registration fee for? Insurance can't cost $300 per kid. Someone enlighten me.)
We list out what is included in your registration (first month - June) fee. $350 includes choregoraphy, music & coaches' fees. Practice wear is extra and the USASF $25 fee is extra. I've seen some gyms starting to list out what their registration covers. I have also started seeing (in the NOVA area) some gyms who have registration costs near $250-300 then an additional $350-400 for choreo & music...WOW!

Plus (for other programs) $300-400 uniform, plus (not specified) practice wear. Which, fine, it's expensive - I just want to know what that $300 registration fee is for. (Your program specifies what it is for, which is what I'm looking for)
