I know I am about to prob get put in the chokey for this but those Hi V's in peaches pyramid need some fixinggggg - I don't know if all star really even cares about bent wrists etc as much as middle school and hs but its the first thing I noticed and I couldn't even enjoy the pyramid because it was so distracting

Those high-V's are all over that routine....made me cringe a little...but neverthelss....AMAZING

The South Elite video is gone...:(
TG's pyramid is visually amazing! But, it would be nice to see them, finally, add the coed stunting elements to their routines that the other coed teams have adopted.

The fact that they aren't doing it leads me to believe that they can't. Though Coed Elite does a lot of "coed" stunting, toss hands press to lib does not score near, if I remember from a discussion thread, coed stunting involving a toss to the top. Judging by the amount of assistance needed on the toss to lib in the main stunt, that's what they'd need to resort to for coed stunting, and a. toss hands press to lib doesn't seem very "Top Gun" to me, and b. it probably wouldn't be worth it wasting time on a full section of toss hands press to lib or body position rather than more tumbling, transitions, jumps, etc.

Someone who knows judging better than me can clarify this, but if a stunt is tossed by the base, and touched by the spotter at the very top, is the toss still considered assisted? As compared to doing a toe pitch up to it.
(Sorry I'm talking a lot, this is really interesting to me)
Someone can also clarify this. A Large Coed team does toss hands press extension, which scores around the middle range in coed stunting. They also have a sequence involving more elite level 5 skills scoring in the high range of multi-based partner stunting. Based on the fact that Large Coed stunt difficulty is taken from the higher of the two scores, is it possible/realistic for a Large Coed team to do a coed stunting section that in the end does not impact their stunting score?

Here's the video for South Elite, I had to move it.

The flyers literally complete 4.5 twists above the ground in one sequence. #DEAD #dying #finished They are the only people to full up as fast as GBE, maybe faster? haha

The technique is also incredible. Gahhh!! So proud of this team and I don't even know a single person from that gym!

Also, I'm proud to say that I've had this face "" SO many times this season already. 2012-2013 is truly setting up to be an absolutely fantastic season of cheerleading. The talent and creativity across the board (even amidst all the rule changes) has been incredibly enjoyable as a fan and coach.

way way better view :)

I have to repeat how much I love this uniform... super super cute! I love when flash meets athletic and they get married and have little perfect little uniform babies. :p

Also, this team definitely has some performers! They may not have the difficulty and quantity of skills of the other large senior teams, but they truly give a performance. I really got the sense that those athletes loved what they were doing and that's something worth noting. :cheering:

Are you crazy? What a great move for her! She only had 5 practices with them before this competition! I think they were amazing! I loved the dance! Go Gabi & Cali!
that is just crazy, she fits in so well! It's a little weird not seeing her on a large team though :D

I would generally agree with you with the exception of baskets. There are a lot of boys that can execute basket tosses just as good if not better than some of the flyers on their team. I mean come on, who would want to flyer through the air? Its so cool! Lol. I say that if a boy can do it better and help you score better then put him in it.
Holden Ray as a flyer just doesn't work for me.....unless you put him in a skirt and a bow than I wouldn't know the difference.

Top Gun Large Coed 5 (Day 1)

Sorry, I have to comment on them again. I absolutely love them.

1. Every year, I'm either obsessed with their elite sequence music, their pyramid music, or both. This year, it's their pyramid music. For some reason, their DJ just mixes their stunt music PERFECTLY for me... like the sound effects always make so much sense not only to the choreography, but to the music itself. Ugh, so. good.

2. Is it me, or is their running tumbling filled with the most beautiful doubles, technique wise, that I've seen in LONG LONG time from a Senior division team. I mean, it's IOC (SOT, Wildcats) beautiful. Take note level 5, THAT'S how doubles are supposed to look before they are put in the routine.

It depends on which scoresheet you are using.

Worlds scoresheet is relative. In theory, the hardest stunts in a division get the highest difficulty score and other teams' stunt difficulty is given as a score relative to that based on the judges' opinion. (Rather than saying squad toss extensions is worth XXX points.) Les would probably be willing to give you a more precise answer.

I've been told this before but I've always wondered how that would work with real-time judging, rather than being able to asses the whole division and then assigning a score to each team. Maybe someday I'll understand!
