not to sound really mean but what is up with that stunt group having 3 guys and it still cant hit... thats a problem for me!

this was their first competition of the year and they bobbled but the stunt stayed in the air she pulled her skills and doubled down out of it, I didn't realize that they are suppose to hit perfect every time in December. Also its not like she is this tiny little fetus they are putting in the air, this team actual has real senior age looking flyers. Also like people have said her kick double is amazing!

Kind of looks like a too many cooks problem. They seem to be falling over each other.
I agree. It can be hard to get a grip when you have a bunch of people all reaching for the same (probably small) foot. My problem with it though, if you have three guys and a front spot under one person, no matter the grip, it shouldn't be struggling half way to the top.

I personally am wondering why they have three guys under one stunt group. There has to be a certain reason. When I make stunt groups for my team I try to share the wealth as far as strength and experience

Love American. Love the routine. Not perfect but I more than expect them to clean it up through the season. I think they have a lot of talent and a lot of potential!!

Last year they started to peak at JAMZ in Vegas (Feb) and really nailed the routine at USA (March) and got a full paid bid. I saw both live and the routine was AMAZING once they hit.

Pointing out a stunt group or individual in any routine is unnecessary and frankly rude. Saying that a stunt fell or that someone busted is a fact, but telling a group they have no reason to drop is in not anyone'e place. That is a coaches job. You don't know the athletes you don't know their experience you don't know why they struggle. Maybe they got switched as a group, maybe they are great tumblers but new to stunting, maybe they just had a bad day. I know if my stunt group dropped (which they didn't it was a bobble) and it was discussed the way y'all are right now... I would be more than a little peeved

i believe they got at large at this comp. i think the pyramid is almost similar with their pyramid at world 2011. love the dance though (i always love their dance, especially at nca 2010 and worlds 2011)

...can I just point out that the stunt stayed in the air? Until you've all gone and done that exact stunt with that exact group you're in no position to judge. This actually makes me really nervous and self conscious about what people might say about me at competitions when I make a mistake..

To me it looks like 3 people that don't know how to save a stunt as a group. As soon as it started to fall, both bases threw a hand on the leg. The second you put your hand on the flyer's leg to save it, you stop yourself from being able to push it up as well and get it back to the top. And honestly it seems that front spot is doing more harm than good in all that confusion.

That routine was one of the slowest routines I've ever watched... Not a bad routine, but I genuinely had to check to make sure the video wasn't playing in slow motion.

That last standing tumbling formation in the flyers med. coed video is a collision waiting to happen... The guys almost landed on eachother. Imagine if he made his double longer or took an extra step.... Oy:confused:
