I don't personally know Kassidy. Neither do 99% of people who watch the series and follow SMOED. I think the amount of hate that has been generating just because of this episode is ridiculous. I just watched the ep & one of the comments on the first page is "That's not fair at all f*** you Cassidy I hate you the world hates you" Is that really necessary?

People are stupid.

Our gym absolutely does not allow kids that quit mid season and come back, period. in fact they have to sit out a full season if they bail midseason. i just don't think it is fair to the other 19 that stuck it out, especially since she basically said she quit because she didn't want to give up the fun stuff of being a senior to attend practice. If they needed a fill in due to injury it should have been someone who hadn't already walked out on their commitment to the team. No, I don't know this girl personally and I don't blame her for wanting back on the team once they had a paid worlds bid, but I cannot believe a gym of this caliber allowed a child to pull that kind of thing without consequences.

Here's my two cents: I feel like people are 'hating' on Kassidy when really they should be blaming Eddie. I agree that it's not fair that she should just be allowed back on Smoed when she decides she can be committed cheerleading, and consequently replace someone who has been committed to Smoed for months, and probably worked very hard. But at the end of the day, if she had decided she wanted to cheer again, Eddie could've put her on a different team instead - maybe a bigger team like Cali Coed or Black Ops where there is arguably less pressure around your spot. And he didn't. He chose to put her on Smoed and take Tylen - who will now maybe never compete at worlds - off. And I think that's his fault, not Kassidy's.

dont they replace her at some point again in the season, i thought that was brought up awhile ago, when the last episode came out, everyone mentioned she wasnt apart of the team anymore again....
i dont think its fair for some one to willingly quit just so they can go out and have fun, and then waltz right back in and expect to replace someone, its kind of rude of her not to consider that, especially since she did it after they won their bid.

You are absolutely right, whoever made the decision to allow her back is at fault, and it may have come from over Eddie's head for all we know. I personally think she shouldn't have been allowed back at all in the same season.

Isn't the girl who's injured out for the season? I thought I read that. What if, when the injury happened, knowing that it was most likely season ending, they reached out to Kassidy? Would that change some of the perception?

But Eddie doesn't coach Cali Coed or Black Ops. He probably replaced the girl who was injured with Kassidy because she had been on SMOED before. And I don't think she just decided to come back and he replaced her. To me, it seems like Tylen was injured and Kassidy came back to replace her. I don't blame Eddie at all, he seems like he's just doing what he thinks is best for his team.

That's not they way they showed it in the episode. Cassidy initially said she didn't know whose spot she was taking and that someone was going to have to get moved down and she felt bad for whoever it was going to be. Later, they talked about the injury and the injured girl said that she was going to condition with the team so that she would be able to jump back in easily when she was cleared. Even if it happened the way you said, there are MANY girls in that gym they could ave used who DIDN'T bail on this team when they didn't want to put in the practice time.
