Most definitely. Being willing to relocate or work in less than desirable areas within your own region. The point I was trying to make though (and I guess I did not) is that for years it was very easy to change careers and find a teaching job; we were seeing many people work in a field for 5, 10, 20 years and then decide it was no longer for them, so they went back to school, got a teaching degree and voila! got a job. It is not the case anymore in many regions. Personally I think nursing is a much more viable choice for a job and gives you much more flexibility in terms of working part or full time, the hours of day/night you work, etc. but if teaching is the choice of profession, at least chose wisely within that field and see which subjects and grades have more openings so that you can actually get a job after spending all that time in school.
I'm double majoring in educational leadership/ teacher preparation. What fields would you recommend for me if you could? Nothing involving math #aintnobodygottimeforthat, and working with mentally disabled (yes I feel horrible, but have had bad previous incidents)

They just referenced Babs in Glee. As a nickname for Barbara Streisand. You know the cheerleader in me was tweaking out. And yes I am watching Glee a day late.

I caught that too, and I also watch it late. You're not alone!

Side note, there was some girl on Instagram who told me she's on Cheetahs and I highly doubt she is. Awkward.

Our online-newspaper thing for our school is down because the site can't handle all the traffic...
This is what happens when they post a controversial editorial and win Pacemaker Finalist in the same week.
I just wanted to read the article my dad is in!

how do you guys remove whiteheads? ive never had a problem with them until now and have no clue what to use.
Be careful if you try and pop them. Forcing whiteheads (or any acne really) to pop means your pore isn't open. I would suggest exfoliating the area & the next day steam your face. Put boiling water in a mug, put a towel over your head like a tent with the mug in there too. After you steam, use one of those boîre pore strips.

I've received over 100 shimmies bc of worlds... I think they mostly were from my sassy comments to newbies asking for scores, ranks or the docs. Lol

I wish!! Having no data and relying on bad Disney wifi means little to no fierce boarding for me last weekend, which = maybe 1 shimmy due to Worlds?? :( And we didn't make finals. Double boo.

Thunderstorm and tornado warnings in my area causing The Players to be cancelled Monday.. I was supposed to work it but at least I still have my Sunday shift

Would it be inappropriate to quit my job by just not showing up tomorrow.....?

probably... though i have been there. is it a job relevant to what you want to do in life or would use as a reference? if so, don't quit like that and be as professional as possible.

but i can't say i never did that. i had a job at a pizzeria my freshman year of high school and they were AWFUL to me. like i don't think they ever just spoke to me; i was always being screamed at to the point of tears. (mostly in italian so i don't even know the terrible things they were saying) i woke up one morning like deathly ill. record-high fever, etc. spent the morning in the hospital and was supposed to work at 5 or something. my mom had called them while i was at the hospital to explain that i was sick and i wouldn't be able to work that night. they started yelling at her, too. and since i was a freshman, i relied on her for my transportation to and from work, so she said no, you're not going to work. ever again. if it's a situation like that, where you're constantly being degraded and treated like absolute sh!t, i'd say F it and walk out.

if you don't want to show up because "you don't feel like it," suck it up, put in your 2 weeks while you're there and be done with it.

The fields we see the most needs for (and what our teachers tend to get full time positions in faster) are math, science and Special Ed (generalists who can work with kids through high school) but it may be different in different regions of the country. We are seeing an overabundance of elementary teachers, English and Social Studies teachers. Language teachers are always in demand as well.
