So how can people not feel that lace is like what you see in the window at Victoria's Secret? Haters. Top Gun= World Champions.

There's quite a difference between the two uniforms. Why side with a team just because they're world champions? A racy uniform is a racy uniform no matter what name is on it.

The most impressive thing is the level of athletic skills TG can show while wearing that unique uniform, and the more people talk the more famous they are.
MIssion Accomplished! You are the most talked about...only I am not sure "athletic skills" is being thrown about much in those conversations, mostly just the uniform. Thumbs up to you!

The first time I remember seeing any kind of cheerleading was Bring it On in 2000 and they had crops and skirts. So yes, I would say it's traditional for at least the past 14 years. Just like it's traditional in gymnastics to wear a leotard, wearing a speedo in diving, and little dresses in figure skating. For the most part, cheer society has leaned towards crops and skirts. Not sure if you're actually interested in why people are ok with things being a certain way but there's a bunch of studies in psychology that say people go with the norm and obey people in power (officials, doctors, coaches, etc.) so I'd suggest reading those if you really want to know why. Gyms can choose to put their athletes in sweatpants and turtlenecks but tasteful crops and skirts are alright too. If you're talking about tops that barely cover underboob and skirts that are shorter than spanks, which is what I think you're getting at, then no that is traditionally not ok.

so to be clear, youre okay with minors wearing half tops and mini skirts for no reason at all because "studies" say thats the norm?

you always have to be on the opposite side of all others in every thread don't ya

is this post serious? WHY CANT PEOPLE HAVE OPINIONS ON HERE IF IT DOESNT AGREE WITH WHAT THE SENIORITY ON THE BOARD BELIEVES?

seriously. no one can comment without getting harassed today on the fierceboard if you go against the seniority that exists here.

can someone seriously answer this?

In all seriousness they probably will get new uniforms for next season, this season is almost over anyways. So we only have put up with it for 2 or 3 months.

WHY ARE YOU YELLING. I don't have a single problem with anyone voicing their opinions. but when in almost every single thread, it's the same two posters starting drama, you begin to think it's probably not even their opinion anymore, they're just trolls.

As if by clockwork:rolleyes: you and ucfknights07 are two peas in an attention seeking pod.

And that you only associate a strap with a fetish is that my fault or could you stand to go see a fashion exhibit or watch a little project runway?

Good thing they are all walking in a lingerie catwalk at London Fashion Week :) :) :) ..... OH WAIT that's right, they are participating in an athletic activity at competitions where the average age is probably 8-12!

Even though I have no doubt in my mind that you will, just like I had no doubt that you would come on this thread and tell us all we are boring prude pollys, please don't try and compare sports to high fashion.
They are not the same.

you don't know what my opinion is more than I do.

I can promise everyone here that I am not a troll. These are my opinions, and while they are not accepted here because its not what the clique thinks, I do not stray away from my opinions because a senior poster believes different.

so it is also okay with you that MINORS are wearing half tops and mini skirts though for no athletic reason what so ever?

Even haute couture rarely makes it to Nordstoms.

so it is also okay with you that MINORS are wearing half tops and mini skirts though?

I (nor anyone else I might point out - you seem to be making up information in order to fight your "case") has said that I like and agree with half tops and mini skirts being appropriate.
I think full tops are athletic, functional, pretty and suit all body types.

However I will take a crop top and skirt ANY DAY over a uniform that quite frankly belongs on a street corner.

Edit - to say that not being a cheerleader I do not know the ins and outs of how a crop top and skirt/shorts can aid stunting and tumbling. Is a cropped top easier to stunt with? (It seems like it would, particularly for coed stunts)
