Were there any boys in the program when the girls wore the white skirts? There had to be, but I've NEVER seen a matching boy uniform to the white bottoms.

Stingray Smoke 2012 in white and Stingray Steel 2014 in blue.
Smoke wore the uniform for one season before the team was no more. There were various boys on the lower level/age teams wearing the white uni but only smoke in L5 Senior (I think, anyone feel free to correct me)

Large Coed this year wow... I really think there are a lot of amazing teams in that division this year, TG just has this extra flare that really sets their routine apart.

I've yet to see the equality themed one and I asked about it after showcase. I'm so curious as to how the theme plays out... Please fierceboarders help a girl out!

I am obviously late on this post but here is a video of the team with the equality theme from UCA this past weekend! They're large senior level 3 Vengeance! :) Facebook

I was about to say that a lot of level 5 girls have said jumps is the most exhausting thing in the routine through ask.fm. or twitter, etc.
I feel like things such as tumbling, stunts you at least have some momentum working with you. Jumps I feel like you have gravity working against you. Idk
I also think this has a lot to do with technique. A lot of level 5 teams jumps make me exhausted just watching them. Sr Elite is the one that comes to mind most. Love that team, but their jump technique makes me cringe. They virtually stop between each jump, I'm sure its easier to time a large group that way, but it's so much harder to keep momentum when you are stopping between each jump. It also amazes me how many level 5 teams drop their chests and kill their jumps instead of lifting up through the jump.
Ex: 3:05 in this video. I know their doing a lot of jumps, but I can't help but think that if their technique was correct and they used their knees to help with the next jump it wouldn't be as exhausting as it looks. There are also quite a few that land flat footed.

Sinking between jumps is 100x easier than rebounding once you've mastered the technique of doing it.

Despite their technique being apparently "cringeworthy" ,in my opinion, Senior Elite has hands down the most beautiful jumps in the Large Senior division and in most other divisions too.

I would argue that, there's definitely aren't hands down better than Orange. I think Orange's are way better. I've never liked how SE does their jumps, they do look better than a lot of teams but that slight pause between each jump is just awkward IMO.

Agreed, their technique might not be perfect however in comparison to other teams these are leaps and bounds (pun intended ;) ) ahead of the rest. Comparatively they are better.

I suppose it would be as to whether synchronisation scores more than technique (I am pretty clueless as to the scoresheet so I have zero idea so tell me if you know!) because by SE taking the pause their synchronisation is SO together in each jump, where as other teams such as Orange and Panthers don't have the pause their synchronisation can be off.
Sacrificing one for the other I guess, no team has both. (In my opinion. I went and looked at oranges after you said this and they are technically beautiful but varying leg heights and arm heights)

I watch a team's jumps for timing and togetherness. I love how senior elite is like in unison in their jumps, great examples would be worlds day 2 last year and NCA either day this year. Haven't seen such perfect jumps from a team besides spirit of texas med coed.

I'm curious how you see a pause between Senior Elite's but not Orange's?

Sorry to interrupt the jump argument (lmao) but, wanted to post this picture from UCA. JE has a VoiceOver that says "They're the girls with the rings, They're the girls with everything......." and I love this picture because the girls that it's about are on Tower of Terror, holding hands with the woman who made it all possible. So many priceless memories at UCA this year!!!

SE's pause seems longer to me, I don't know what it is but they're jumps just seem so much more labored than Rays. They're timing and height is good though so I'll give them that.

I've never noticed a pause, so I'm thinking the same thing!!

There's a pause compared to a team like Lady Lightning who just bounce off the floor into their next jump, but Orange does the same thing. Both teams use the exact same jump technique minus arm placement. And the fact that someone could actually look at Senior Elite's jumps and call them bad, say they're awful, cringeworthy, or anything other than "stunning" is enough to make me want to rip my face off and never subject myself to the idiocy that takes place on this website sometimes again.
