Has anyone seen this grip before? I was trying to riddle it out and just couldn't. Any help would be appreciated because this looks like a really good grip for like a 4.2 team or a junior team and I would love to know how it's done.

Its not a crossed legged full up though, the bases rotate somehow too. The back starts on the left with the second in back and the main on the right, I just cant figure out who's gripping what foot.

It looks like the main is grabbing the flyers right foot, the back is holding onto ankles, and the secondary is tossing the flyers butt up but also holding onto the left calf with one hand.

This is the grip that my team uses .the flyer loads in with the left foot in front and right foot in the back. The side base starts in the back of the group and has left hand on butt and right hand on the back toe. The main base starts in the right side (looking at the group from the front) and has both heels. I have no clue about the backspot

What would be the perk of this grip over the cross foot full up? Is it easier to pull immediate single leg skills? Is it easier to work toward double ups? Just trying to wrap my head around why you would choose this grip over the cross foot, when the cross foot if done correctly can look like a real full up and this one doesn't with all of the moving under it.

Right! It looked so simple and easy but I just couldn't riddle it out.

I'd argue about the cross foot looks like a "regular" full up. Everyone is so obvious about crossing their legs this season that it isn't even a question of what version they're doing.

I can't imagine how you could double-up with that method though, I feel like the bases would spin too much. Plus, if you pause the video, you'll see that the backspot does most of the gripping/lifting, I feel like I would fall over if that were me.

Omg ya'll; the girl in the white t has right hand on the middle of the right foot, left hand on the left toe. Girl in black t has right hand on left heel and left hand on butt. The boy has hands on both ankles. Girls have a full around and not a full up grip.......

its another variation of a no release full up much like the crossed leg full up.

source: my kids do this.

I must really emphasize the word CAN in my previous statement. I have some groups that make it look seamless and if you're not staring directly at them the whole time you would never know they had crossed feet. I also have quite a few groups that give it away instantly! Wether by crossing their feet in a big dramatic way, knees spread apart in the load, not keeping the ankles together, or spinning so slow there is no way that is a real full up! But for those that CAN do it correctly it looks just as good next to my real full up group.

Since your kids do this method can you share the pros or why y'all went with this method instead of others? Is it easier, better for getting immediate single foot skills, easier to get a double up? Just curious!
