Yeah no. If I couldn't wear one of my nike sports bras that have great coverage with my uni I wouldn't compete. I've got d cups and not wearing a bra is extremely uncomfortable during athletic activity. My sister who is a b cup wears a regular bra underneath her sports bra because she feels the protection is necessary. She'd laugh in someones face if they said she couldn't wear a bra.

Now I feel bad. I'm sorry for coming down so hard on you.
It's alright, no harm done! There's no reason for you to feel bad.

Also, I think the USASF should put in some uniform guidelines as to cutouts, I know they have the half top/full top rule now. For example USAG (the governing body of gymnastics), has several guidelines; ((No bare midriffs, backless leotards, leotards with “spaghetti” straps, leotards must not be cut to high or over the hip bone.)." . I think the USASF should have some guidelines on backs, like they cant be backless or have such large cutouts. that's just my two cents however.

I like this idea. Like if they had a rule that says "uniform top must be able to be worn with regular sports bra or incorporate sports bra into the design" like how some uniforms do. If they can make rules about half tops/full top and bow sizes, they can make rules about sports bras.

Yes, exactly and also inseams perhaps! Also, there's a bow size rule?
There is an inseam rule that I think goes in to effect with the full top rule, 3" maybe? Which is still really small.

ETA: It's actually 2", which doesn't fix too much, but it's a start I guess.

The ribbon can't be wider than 3 inches I believe? There's an inseam rule that goes into effect this season or next I believe? But it's only that it has to be 2 inches... Which isn't enough. Shorts should be at least 2.5 inches like the old nike pros, preferably 3 like the new ones!

This is what my team did we all wore sports bras and they looked part of the uniform

ETA: A girl on my team made the seniors and the juniors uniform. I really liked it as it was so comfy and even though it was a crop even someone like me who is abit bigger it is quite flattering

Honestly, even 2.5 inches doesn't cover much let alone 2 inches. But it's start at least.

Those are really pretty! Also that's a good idea!

So, funny story but not uniform related. I did a parent team at cp old gym. One season our practices started about 5 weeks after I had my youngest daughter. I was nursing so I wore nursing pads in my bra to prevent "leakage" (I know, tmi). Anyway, I went across the mat to do my oh so fierce running cartwheel and one of them fell right out on the mat! One of the dads on the team was like I think you dropped something! OMG, so embarrassing. Needless to say, I taped them on with medical tape for future practices.

haha oh no I'm starting a parents team tonight - this is pretty much my worse fear lol!

there was definitely only a "white girl" color and a "black girl" color, which matched none of the girls properly. there was at least one really tan girl in a black girl mesh which looked equally as crazy (well actually, i guess she could have been another ethnicity, but either way there was no color for her as well as quite a few other girls.)
thats kinda what i figured.. just 2 tones.. idk if they were supposed to match I'm sorry it was very poorly executed.. i like the idea though

For years I've said nothing regarding the lack of bra friendly uniforms, but the bra discussion is so annoying! Anyone who is gifted has to deal with feeling uncomfortable just because someone who isn't decides they will. For all the men that claim that bras aren't important or don't understand... what if this were the norm? What if this is what all the big gyms did. You can't wear boxers, briefs, cups, etc... maybe we can come up with a sticky chicken cutlet type thing for yall since its ok for girls to do an athletic activity in. Everything is covered, we'll even add some decorative blinged straps, or maybe some mesh. How comfortable would you feel? Would you not be a tad bit worried in that stunt, jump, or tumbling pass that something may show up on an action shot that's not supposed to. Would you perform at your best, while fearing something hanging out. Maybe a visual can help show how some uniforms are the exact same for girls. Its a little ridiculous that we have to fight the bra fight every year! I wish gym owners would realize that yes fashion and uniforms are important, but the athletic activity should come first! End rant...

Never said they weren't important. Your post seems to come off quite harsh. I was ignorant towards the subject until I asked what the big deal was & then was politely given a lesson as to why they're necessary. As a man, it's not common knowledge to know that breast tissue tears, causes health problems, back pain, etc. So that may be why we seem so lackadaisical about the topic as a whole.

ETA: I do agree though that uniforms should be required to be able to wear a normal sports bra with them.

It's so hard for me to keep sarcasm out of a post but i'm just saying.... you could wear a jockstrap with those pants. :p
