ugh they're one of the worst offenders on animal testing. i know that's not exactly what you're asking, but that is why i refuse to touch their products.

edit: in my "ignorance is bliss" days, they had a liquid eyeliner pen that i liked. it was pretty standard, though, and no more amazing than one at the drug store.. but i didn't have any complaints about it, either.
I actually looked into this and as of 2013 they no longer test on animals.

I'm getting my MAC pro card in a few weeks and I plan on buying eye shadow, a new eye linger, new foundation, new blush and perhaps a loose powder. I don't feel AS guilty since I get a huge discount :)

Do you get free stuff from lancome? We used to get sooooooooooo much. I literally bought a chest of drawers to keep it all in.

No :( not here anyway. I work for Hudsons Bay Company and Lancome technically. We only get discounted stuff if we get the HBC credit card, which is 29% interest, and you only get 10% off. The card is not worth it even if I wasn't in debt and could get it anyway.

When we have season openers we get a few free items. I had basic training and season opener last week and got the new Visionnaire night cream, the new primer, a hypnose mascara, the new grandiose mascara, and the genefique eye and face serum. I think when we have GWP's or PWP's and we exceed the goal we get visa gift cards but like a LONG time later and at xmas we get something but that's it. I wish I needed a drawer to keep it all in!

I think it's stupid not to give a good discount for employees or free stuff. How am I supposed to promote a product that I can't really even try for myself. I've already figured out that I'm allergic to genefique day and night cream through a few samples I took. Samples too we aren't allowed to take too many samples from any counter because we can get fired for it lol

So I'm just starting to try and get into doing my hair and makeup, does anyone know any good youtube tutorial channels for beginners.

I recently bought a couple of high end makeup things that I love!

I love the Tarte bb tinted treatment that I got. The coverage is great but the only problem with it (for me) is that I'm in between a light and a medium so I wish there were more color options.

I also just bought the Buxom full-on lipstick in Tokyo and it's such a pretty color! It's a great berry color that I could wear everyday.

The new BareMinerals 5 in 1 Bb advanced performance cream eye shadow. I don't know what the color is called but it's a dark brown and I love it. It doesn't fade or crease and lasts for quite a while.

And then last but not least, I got the Urban Decay 24/7 velvet glide on eye pencil in black velvet. I don't wear a lot of eye liner but I really like how smoothly it goes on!

I just cracked and brought a NARS concealer stick.

I'm really getting into make up, I've always worn it, but I want to enhance my experience especially because I'm cheering in college and I want a stronger arsenal with natural game day looks.

What I've found is that darker complexions and sensitive skin have a harder time finding pigments on the drug store side, as result most my face make up is High End. Any suggestions of really good brands with a lot of pigments and won't break me out?

I don't know if by darker complexions you mean actual black (brown) complexions....but as you can see from my picture I'm brown and I use Maybelline BB cream in the shade "deep". It's pigmented. Good coverage. Inexpensive. Doesn't break me out, but my skin rarely breaks out anyway. I also have Revlon foundation which has good pigmentation but it's too dark for my skin (and the next shade up is too light). Clinique also has a good bob cream for darker complexions

Since summer is almost over I probably won't be using bb cream much longer

I meant black lol I love my MAC foundation but with the fall coming I want to find something that will work with this season, the MAC foundation is really dewy and summer like. I used the CC cream from Smashbox last fall but I'd hate to have to buy it again. Will try Maybelline or Clinique!
