So you remember those awkward outside bra things we talked about in the allstar thread? Yeah we have one of those on the new uniforms we're getting this year. We got the sizers tonight from GTM. I actually really like the rest of it, and the thing doesn't look as bad on as it did when my coach held it up. And it's not polyester! :cloud9: That is my favorite thing about these uniforms. Seriously. I had come over from dance practice dripping sweat and dreaded putting on a polyester uniform because I knew the sizers were going to be there tonight. When I saw that they were a spandex material, I got so extremely excited
Are you guys ordering Ultrafuse uniforms?

One of my really good friends owns LillieBelle Farms Chocolate based out of Ashland/Medford !!! Best chocolate in the world ;)
No I've been there at least a hundred times! Best stuff I've had in forever. Whenever I have time I try and go out there and its seriously amazing.

Julia, go in, ask for cheffy and give him a bear hug "from bear" - I am sure that there will be a few extra chocolates in it if you do

We got our middle school uniforms today for school cheer from Varsity. I hope the order can somehow be corrected. 100 % poly skirt. Sublimated campwear tank and the trashbag look Mystique black bloomers. Blues don't even match from skirt to bottom. Hoping it was a mixup or something. Not the same material either. Interesting

Varsity seems to be a hit or miss vendor for a lot of people. Some coaches swear by it and all of their stuff goes right, and others have had too many problems with them to want to go back.

Our Varsity uniforms two years ago got delivered with two different materials--motion flex top, polyester skirt. Junior high had enough time to get another skirt. High school ordered later and just had to deal with it.

Or sublimated "camp wear" tank top with 100% polyester skirt, motion flex body liner (body liner not in) and Mystique briefs plus Chevron and polka dot bows. I just came to look through this thread at school uniforms to suggest, Hey, I'll pay more, we're going to compete, can we please not have the kids look ridiculous?! Here are a few ideas. I'll pay for another top if I have to. School sponsor was claiming top not what we ordered and it doesn't look like the pic, but. . . We personally, the parents, just paid 323 and own the uniforms, most of us parents are also all star parents, we're not mad about the money, but definitely don't want an ugly piecemeal uniform to compete in.

On the plus side, CP is in LOVE with her Chevron bag and happily swinging her bag that said school name and cheerleader at 6:00 when I went to pick her up in front of all the kids that had just tried out for football. ;)

Oh my! That sound hideous.

Glad she likes her bag!

Many teams actually order like this on purpose. It's been offered to us every time we've ordered and our competition uniform from years ago was like this. The motion flex tops are more comfortable with a better fit. A motion flex skirt though is very unforgiving, tough to be altered and comes with a built in brief. If your school passes uniforms down each year, motion flex skirts aren't a good idea, which is why a lot do one fabric for the top and a different one on bottom. In my experience you can't tell a difference unless you know and touch them.

I'm definitely a pro varsity coach, but will admit it's not all perfect. I type this as my bag order just came in wrong and my uniforms are late. Just wanted to chime in on the mixing of fabric is usually an on purpose thing!

That makes sense, but they didn't order it that way. My younger cp's team had ordered one skirt and two shells in the motion flex. When they sent the poly skirt, it ended up working with one of the tops that wasn't the longer style. So, they ended up with two uniforms. It wasn't very noticeable.

Older cp's was noticeable. It was almost different colors/shades of black. She got a different top the second year and the other girl had not taken care of her uniform as well. It really shows on the motion flex.

Yes! At our meeting with our varsity rep she said you could mix motion flex with Powerfit and motion flex with regular polyester (pretty sure that's what it is). For example, we are thinking of getting our guys motion flex tops and keeping their poly pants to save some money.

So, I'm coaching at a new school this year as of last week (which I LOVE already :cloud9:) and the AD informed that the cheer team is in the lineup for new uniforms next year (I almost died when he told me the school buys the uniforms - at my old job the team had to fundraise/pay out of pocket)! Should I start thinking of designs/looking into the costs now? When the time comes to meet about the uniforms I would love to be able to have an estimate cost/designs ready for the AD and principle to approve. I definitely do not want to run into the crazy last minute fiasco and not have the uniforms here in time for next years first football game (I'm a planner if you couldn't tell :p) We will most likely use Varsity and I'm very intrigued with the powerfit/motionflex for the team since they have had polly tops/skirts with the flex liner the past 5 or 6 years, I think they would really enjoy a nice, comfortable uniform.

If anyone is feeling bored one day and wants to you know, create a design our letters are MHS and colors are red, black, and white!:cheering:
