Great idea!! The only reason I thought "fee" would be to possibly help with travel for some of the coaches plus letters will have to be sent out, which costs money. Plus, you would have to have staff there. It would take some definite planning on CA end. Plus, you have to get word out to local high schools & other gyms. It could be huge if done properly Sorry my questions is taking over the thread. Lol. You can email me if you want to brainstorm more. Thanks for considering this. Think it would be great!

Honestly I see that working both ways, also in recruitment to get kids to CA (not that there is a desperate need for more kids), but I know personally for some people just coming into the gym is the hardest part but once you have stepped in you can't leave! I love that idea though, if something like this doesn't happen though just don't be afraid to ask the coaches. Every single coach at CA for the most part has some sort of college experience or contact information of coaches for collegiate teams!

There was a College Cheer Summit in Atlanta this past January that did something very similar.

Maybe that's the one i heard about... Think we definitely need one here! I was talking about how cool that would be to do & someone said something about one similar ... I'm sure it was at a cheer competition

The logistics would probably be easier at a cheer competition. The colleges would probably get more exposure that way, anyway.

@BlueCat -- Just a thought but maybe you could do it the Friday of NCA. Even people from out of town could stop in and a lot of people from the industry will be there anyways.

I can see the convenience of that for non-Dallas people. On the downside, that is a busy week for us.

Varsity currently makes our uniforms.

after choreography, how long is it before yall do your first full out?

We don't typically learn entire routines at once, so we are often doing the parts of the routines that we learn "full out" as soon as the sections are learned. The number of times the routines go completely full out during a practice depend on a number of factors, so there really isn't a set number. Typically I would guess 3-6, but it could be lower or higher even at times. We do portions of routines more often than that.

There are tons of rumors about CA! It's a huge, successful program that has been around a long time. This whole thread is about clearing up things you have heard and want to know the truth about. It is not about Bluecat starting, spreading or telling rumors. It is about you asking him about things you want to understand better. That is why he asked you to be more specific. You are asking him to tell you the rumors. That would take him all year!

Technically that is more specific than "what rumors are there?", but I'm pretty sure that you know what I meant. If you just want a list of some rumors, that was covered earlier in the thread.
