I have our comp schedule, I haven't heard anything about not talking about it, so now I'm kind of afraid since I've been telling my friends from other gyms haha. For the Charlotte gym cheersport is not on there and someone from SSX said they aren't going either, but on twitter people are saying we are going, so now I'm confused LOL

EDA: It's even on my twitter and Courtney follows me and I haven't been reprimanded haha. Still, yall have made me scared:confused:

OK you and probably everyone else is gonna hate me for this but honestly everytime you make a reference about how sick of newbies you are and how stupid they are, I wanna scream. You were in that position just a couple months ago or maybe even less than that and I know you didn't like it when people tore you apart. Quit thinking that you can pick on every newbie just because your profile doesn't say 'I'm new.don't hurt me.' Anymore.
Lololol, on another thread I tried holding it in to be nice but thank you for saying it!

:wasntme:

Interesting….you're at CEA Charlotte and have the competition schedule?

I notice some gyms "hide" their competition schedule in order to surprise their local competitors, but again my observation is if you want to say this is a sport, I can't think one other sport that doesn't release their competition/game schedule to the general public. That isn't a slam towards any gym or anyone, just a general observation.

Or because their schedule changes so much that it's more of a wish list than a schedule. IDK, I never understood the point of keeping a schedule double dog secret.

Strange that a comp schedule would be a secret - its not like you would quickly change it because you were afraid of competition from another gym and want to go else where at the last minute? If its not completed yet, then that would make sense? But complete and kept under lock and key? Weird in my opinion

I think everyone is just sick of stupidity on the boards (newbies) and probably explains the blow up on PAsam

I still consider you a newbie. I'm a newbie in my mind. Also, Sam isn't particularly new. Is he? Take a look at his profile. He's been here for over a year. Also, some newbies do have intelligent things to say and good points to make. Just as some veterans have dumb things to say on occasion. So it's probably not a good thing to say "stupidity on the boards (newbies)", because "stupidity" and "newbies" are not synonymous.

There are many gyms that pull out of competitions once they see where perceived rivals or historically strong gyms are going. This is unfortunate but since the reasoning can be varied it is hard to say that in every case they are simply running from the competition. Also with competitions still changing dates, locations, etc. what may work for a gym in June may not work in September. So sometimes it is better to keep your cards as close to the vest as reasonably possible until you have to put it out there. But has been said with the advance of social media and the intense desire to be "the people in the know" where certain programs are competing it is hard to keep these things quiet anymore.

Even if gyms do pull out you should pick competitions that great for your program and fit your gym needs. Competition A will work certain gyms, but Competition B is better for others.

I agree and that is what every program should do. Yet we all know many do not and tweak their schedule significantly once they know where certain gyms are going.
