Cheer updates does not really care about non worlds divisions and is quite in your face about it if you ask him a question about that.
So much for being the self proclaimed industry leader when you basically ignore levels 1-4...
I wish I could understand the reasoning behind all this mega gym consolidation. The sport of allstar has been on a steady decline as far as families leaving the sport for half a decade now. How do all these takeovers help that issue?
Isn't south jersey already saturated enough with gyms?
NJSE
SJS
Jersey Pride
Rockstar NJ
All Star One
And I'm sure I missed a few
And Skky was already in an over saturated area in the Philly Suburbs with
TSC, State, Upper Merion AS plus other D2 gyms west of KOP and north towards Bucks County...
Last year the worlds bids were sometime around 10-11 pm. I remember not getting home until 2am, but we all know Var$ity doesn't care as long as they keep making $$$
That's right - I forgot he very humbly "suspended" himself for a weekend last season (eye roll)
The fact he was on video handing out 20 dollar bills at UCA to Beatles while supposedly being under USASF sanctions is laughable.
It is things like this (among other things) that cause the common...
That is awful. I feel so bad for any parent that pays the money to try and see their kid perform and can't because of flat out incompetence on the part of Epic (Var$ity) and the venue staff. Hopefully tomorrow will run smoother.
I have heard the ticket line is insane (about a 1 hour wait on a frozen boardwalk). And that parents are missing their kids performances due to the ticket line being so long. If that is the case, then Epic Brands and Var$ity should be ashamed of themselves. Its obvious this comp is overcrowded...
It is ridiculous to have teams performing after 9-10pm Sunday. If you're an EP and you have a comp with teams essentially competing from 7am-10pm there is something wrong. You either need a bigger venue, or limit the number of teams competing, but we all know Var$ity isnt going to turn down...
They have to pay for those bids somehow. Unfortunately that is called passing the cost along to the consumer. I do agree though, the price of admission + parking at a convention center at a beach town in the offseason is a little steep. And you are correct most 2 day comps we attend would knock...
The 2 State teams had 2 days of solid performances. I was happy to see Valley Elite Big Red get a bid as we have some friends on that team.
As far as Island Xtreme - Injuries at this point in the season are very common and they made the best of a rough situation this weekend. I hope those...
You are correct. There was even some shuffling of the bids as some teams moved up or down after day 2 which sometimes doesn't happen for various reasons, but yesterday it made the fight for those 4 AL bids exciting.
And I must say the sportsmanship exhibited between Fab 5 and Big Bang was...
But I believe Fab 5 won Medium Senior and Big Bang was 2nd. I believe Fab 5 declined an AL bid so based on that I was thinking Fab would be in front for that FP bid (assuming they had the next highest score).
Ok so now the plot thickens.
If hypothetically IX gets another bid (let's say for arguments sake FP) then they have to give up the bid earned in December(assuming it is the same team as December), correct?
So then, that FP bid in December would probably go to either Big Bang or Fab 5 in my...
Well considering they have the same team name (Legacy) as the team from December, my thoughts are the same as far as it being the same team (with a few other athletes).
Now the fun really begins when it comes to those teams fighting for those FP bids. If the commotion about scoring in December...
Agreed - this in my opinion is their way of thumbing their nose at Varsity or even flipping them the bird and saying they will do whatever they want because they can. The issue also is did they actually shaft any other deserving team(s) out of a bid because of this, which then creates an even...
This whole situation really makes me wonder how much credibility CSP now has for her argument that her level 5 teams skipped NCA because of the travel expenses, time commitments etc. Was that really the case, or was the case that NCA's more stringent policies on crossovers prevented it?
