The fact that you appear more interested in attacking me personally rather than than staying on topic Leeds me to believe you are just bitter and hostile.

Good luck as a parent in your transition from gymnastics to cheer.

Not bitter and hostile at all, just stating facts as they present themself. Thanks for the luck as it appears despite my daughter's excitement about level 5 I am less enthused about this migration that seems ripe with subjective participation from parents. As a psychiatrist (yes, I guess I can openly admit I am an M.D.) its actually pretty interesting the dynamics here.

Seriously though!! Geezzz..... Dr. I'm new. Don't hurt me. MargaretHuMeans. You've popped on to the boards and just started blasting away. Wow! :chillpill:

Hey at least I am not afraid to use my real name nor hide behind my keyboard. Funny how it is only "blasting" when its opinions you don't agree with. If I agreed with many of the "ascertations" leveled everywhere on certain gyms you would agree with me.

What you must understand is that you are entering this world as an objective 3rd party. This is very personal to most of the people on this board. It is not necessarily a place for objectivity. I find it interesting that as a "newbie" you have such strong opinions either way. Perhaps it is just your MD that compels you to form those opinions so quickly. While there is certainly a VAST amount of information here an the boards you simply cannot obtain all the insight that is required to diagnose each personal situation. Only the boldest of kids would actually respond negatively when confronted face-to-face with an adversary. What you perhaps don't know is that one of those kids was a so-called cheerlebrity and most athletes would be eager to interact with her regardless. I wish your daughter luck in her cheer career.

Thank you - it has been quite the education, I will say that. I think a whole textbook should be written for my field on cheerleading, not to mention a vertical specialty. :D

Sorry for the distraction on my part. I sincerely apologize.

Can we talk about Top Guns dance? Because it was soooo fun! I giggled at the end. Very refreshing!

I know I'm gonna go down for this one, but that point dancer kinda scared me. She's super talented and all, but something about it was disturbing.

I will say, that point dancer from TG was very sweet to the girls from our team, took photos with them and all.

Another item: What is up with these Varsity Trading Pins? Some have mustaches on them? A cute idea, but they got them after competing on Sunday and the area around the video viewing area was littered with the wrappers they came in. Guess they figured it is a good idea for Disney, why not try? Wonder if they only are given out at Nationals?

Oh, and I loved the venue. I would have preferred stadium seating, but otherwise it was great. If you stayed at an airport area hotel you could easily get from your hotel to the venue by utilizing the hotel's airport shuttle and taking the Skytrain. No DD necessary. Made it easy for my teenager and his band of fools to hotel hop to visit all his twitter friends too.

Band of fools... I needed that tonight! Thanks :)
