Wait, so IASF is adding divisions also? Dear lord, please don't let all of these be at Worlds ... It used to be that Worlds was the last holdout from the "keep splitting divisions until everyone gets a trophy" philosophy. More divisions, special interest group divisions, .....

If International Non-Tumbling 5 does become a division I can see this becoming mobbed. I know a lot of international teams struggle with trying to field skill appropriate level 5 teams so this may become an alternative route that I could see becoming successful. Although in the same breath I could also see it being a massive failure because it could be considered "Mickey Mouse level 5", in the vein that its a cheap rip off. Puns aside, this will definitely make things interesting next year to say the least.

I don't know which divisions they will have at Worlds. I pasted and copied that from US All Star Federation: Home

I signed in under member login, then top right corner clicked visit USASF rules page, then clicked cheer age grid 2018-2019.

Have we heard anything about the top teams from Canada? Any Canada posters on the boards have insight?

I haven't heard anything either. The impression I'm getting in my area is that we are still running teams based on the current grids (International). I can't see many teams moving to the USASF Open division as a lot of teams still don't have the tumbling to keep up with the US teams to move on with top 10 (and isn't tumbling weighted differently in the Sr. division versus Intl. divisions at Worlds?).

However, if I remember correctly, the Intl. divisions are moving to the new rules next year, such as no twisting baskets in level 5. I can't see the top teams necessarily wanting to give up those skills. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

Overall, I'm still confused between current Intl. teams at Worlds and those rules compared to the Intl. divisions being posted for next season from IASF. And I don't believe they'll offer all of theses divisions at Worlds. USASF Senior, Open and IASF Intl. teams?? Seems like a ton of extra divisions. I see teams picking their division based on what is offered at Worlds and where they think they will have their best shot at moving on

@WinstonsGirl Thanks for sharing.

Yes, tumbling is weighted differently in the Sr. division versus Intl. divisions at Worlds. I will say Canada kicks but in the all girl International 5 division. For now lots of speculation. Since teams will be made soon, I hope they clarify everything quickly.
