Isn't it obvious, people? The top gyms in every state are the ones you're from, the one you used to cheer for, the most popular, or the one your son, daughter, or best friend cheers on....duh.

This thread has gone to the dumps. What is the point of bickering because someone didn't add your gym to a list that is based on their OPINION?

I usually like things like this because it gives people a way to chime in easily and give credit where they think it is due, but this one has just turned into a "my gym is better then yours" fight. How about if you are going to do a list you skip your own state because you hold a big bias there? Just respect opinions and carry on. Not everyone is going to be a fan of the same gym, that is just how it is.

i wish all states had a state championship competition where majority of the programs attended. it really is a beautiful thing. i'm not going to attempt to guess the best in other states, but what i do know: Maryland= Twisters. You all know the national & upper level accomplishments, but the accolades run across the board.

This thread is pretty counter-productive.

First off, I have no idea what the criteria is for "best gym". Is it the biggest program? The program that wins the most "national championships"? The program with the most competitive higher-level teams?

Secondly, cheer is so fragmented that other than your part of the country, it's impossible to make value judgments on other programs. So as mentioned above, you might know about your state and plug in the "popular" gyms for other states.

I'm not sure how to make a list of the best cheer gyms in the country, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the way to do it.
