They would probably still have the bid since fame wasn't going for one.

But aren't the bids based on scores? If they had deductions, other worlds teams could have out scored them. They were only around 5th or 6th for the bid yesterday so its not completely impossible for them to slip to sayyy 9th and get an at large.

it more than likely would mean nothing for the bid. as an EP CHEERSPORT can give the bids to whoever the heck they feel like it, as long as they declare that that's what they're doing ahead of time. and they did. if they want SE to represent them, they will. and Fame already has a bid, so no loss to them. though I am curious to know if this rumor is true. if so, fame deserves the recognition, IMO.

So maybe Illinois Flyer's first post was a poor choice of words. She's clearly speaking out of anger and likely some hurt. I dare say that all of us have done that at some point in our lives.

But this post, above, has merit. I am certainly not saying Orange didn't deserve their win - don't twist my words. However, if you look at this from Cheer Command's perspective, ending up both days somewhere +/- 1 point below Orange's score and (according to what was posted here) only a small mistake on Day Two, it is a question that deserves to be asked. Not all of us are judges and very few of us understand Cheersport's scoring system.

I don't doubt there is an explanation. Can someone help provide it?

I'm not really familiar with the score sheets and deductions for cheersport, here is just what I observed from watching both videos:

Cheer Command missed a front-flip in the pyramid (way in the end, cheersport deducts for that because it was obvious that they didn't intend it as it was shown).
They had a lot of tucks/layouts in their opening (standing) tumbling. (plus Rays also had standing fulls, none for CC)
In running tumbling there was one girl that ended her pass with bhs (= tumbling omission dedeuction), probably not doing her full (as the other 2 in her group)
During dance synchronisation was slightly off for cheer command.
Plus they didn't have almost the whole team throw a synchronized running tumbling pass like orange.

To me the overall impression was that Rays were a lot cleaner than CC and had a lot more difficulty in tumbling even though CC had a great routine!

I kind of agree with that. Is it a little crazy. But will that same team make it past Friday? Some but not all; only the strong will survive.

Elite Diamonds hit both days in a row. We were shocked to be in 6th after day 1.

Diamonds hit again day 2.

Our score put us @ 146.23333 right behind Stingray smoke. 146.4

Our final score along with the screwed up day 1 score was 142.8333

This ranking assumes there is consistency between both panels.

Remember day 2 at worlds... you start fresh, if you are one of the top 10 that advances.

You do know for every paid bid there required to give 3 at larges. Therefore 8 paid bids equal 24 at large
