It looks like @CheerUpdates is starting a website. Given how many cheer related websites most of us have seen come and go, or at least get abandoned, how long do you think this one will last? It says it will start in September 2012, so we'll start counting from then.

The only 2 consistent posters on there are the ones who were banned from here and created the site. I voted less then 3 months..if that.

Guess it depends on what the theme of the site is. If it's innovative and different, that could really be a good thing! Any additional info?

So this is separate from the message board? Or maybe he's splurging for a proper host and message board software rather than a free one.

Also, the problem with building hype a la "coming September 2012" is that people get bored and stop waiting and stop caring if the open date is that far out.

I think the sport could use a new type site that provides news and information without personal input. just updates from comps, news about teams and schedules. sort of what you can get from here but with out all the personal garbage that clutters any real info.

If all of you are so concerned and full of hate for cheerUPDATES/ DJ, why do you think this will help? If he is the horrible person you're making him out to be, don't you think he would pleasure in the Fierceboard discussing his board? Like, thanks for the advertisement?

I like it. I love all the administrators on it. I think it will last.
