All-Star Correct Flying Postions

THIS MAKES ME WANT TO CRINGE. (no offense to this girl, this just isn't an arabesque to me. I have this pictures saved on my computer as "cheater" hahaha)

I'm pretty sure that was not intended as an arabesque. Not sure what they called them, but check out 1:34 of this AAA camp video from Hawaii. Our old gym used that move quite a bit.

I watched and I saw the skill you were talking about. I had to stop watching after the pair in the front "faked" the swing through though. Lots of things in that video made me cringe. Starting entire groups and stunting while off the mat was the first thing that got me. But I know your point was the stunt so thank you for posting and pointing out the body position being discussed!

wouldn't this be considered her having her toe being "in" instead of "out" though?

I was trying to figure this out too haha. They do a full up stretch, so I think it's just from the momentum-like she's still spinning.

only thing that bothers me about this one is the foot she is standing on is slightly turned.

For arabesques, this to me is wrong. Her chest is low to bring her leg up higher

For heel stretches, is this correct?

I think this is a true "all star" arabesque. Leg as high as possible with the shoelaces facing the front. Her body is tilted forward but her chest is still arched up.

I personally love GA's arabesque's They're bent leg isn't to the point where it's horrendous, it kind of looks good. I find that weird hahaha
