I'm still confused as to how they can call it acro though since that already exists and is a recognised discipline in gymnastics but I like it anyway.
They can wear them any time they want. And obviously Oregon feels they give them an advantage, I know they are not wearing them for style points. I have heard athletes make positive comments about better gripping.I was wondering about the gloves too. Are they allowed to wear them throughout, or just for certain rotations (like stunts)?
Well Stunt confuses me like we are in a Hollywood movie. It's not Acro as in the discipline referred, it is team "Acro & Tumbling". Cheerleading skills sets performed in competition acrobatics and tumbling were taken from gymnastics. So really it makes perfect sense. Best part is all of the NCATA coaches are from cheerleading, it's great they have best of both worlds!Me too! I like how the other group calls it Stunt, the acro confuses me from my gymnastics days.
