I have been a back spot for as long as I remember, because I have always been the tallest, and one of the strongest on my teams. Just yesterday I was learning how to base, and I was struggling. I may have to be a base for the first time this year and I'm kind of freaking out! My team mates were helping me out by telling me to squat when we are going up, and to use my legs not my arms to get our flyer up. Also, to never arch your back, make eye contact with your other base, and keep your feet glued to one spot. I got better whenever I tried to do all of these tips but still not that good at it. I'm so happy I got the opportunity to learn to base but I want to become great at it. Does anybody have any tips? Also any tips on being an instep?
