Ok....if the coaches " mixer" was in the morning before they coach... Yes... But seriously... What they do in their own time... Well that is their business... I pay them
To coach... I am not their parent or boss... They deserve fun time too...IMO
AMEN!!!!

Normally I would say no, nope, never, but it's Vegas if they want to get plastered they can free get free drinks by just stepping into the casino area. Coaches are so busy coaching they dont have time to get drunk and if that 's their goal, they will do it anyway. Probably at other comps too. Coaching or not, have sense not to drink and compete...please.

May I suggest a chair massage person for the fans. I wouldnt mind paying for a little time of relaxation=)

Unfortunately the final schedule is not out and almost everyone on the Boards has their numbers completely OFF. Just so we are CLEAR and the rumor mill can STOP let me get to the actual numbers. There are currently 17 International Teams and 16 Senior teams registered for Worlds and That is a total of 33 teams vying for bids. There are over 230 teams registered for this event. How some on this board believe those numbers does not mean JAMZ should not have 2 Paid Bids is beyond me when there are event producers offering bids that get waivers every year because they fail to meet numbers. We have exceeded our numbers every year since we first started offering bids to the Worlds. In fact based upon our numbers this year we could offer 3 Paid Bids if we wanted.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. I never said JAMZ should not have 2 or even 3 paid bids. I never said it was a small competition. In fact what I said is that this was going to be a battle of the current at large bids for those paid bids (as many of the teams attending are coming with at large bids already earned). But, the fact that so many teams already have their at large bids is what i was also bringing up. If you have 33 teams attending and 2/3 (I haven't seen final lists so I have no idea) already have at large bids, that means the at large bids offered by JAMZ can get handed down to the teams that might not have otherwise gotten one. Please don't take this as something that is JAMZ specific...it happened at Spirit Sports and it has happened at other competitions too including NCA Dallas!

That is the point Lakerfantic, the 'bar' is or was open for them in the coaching area all day, so coaches can go up between teams, kick back a few if they wanted and then continue coaching.

Ya know...it is not my job to monitor what my poor coaches do every second....I just feel that the decision for me happened way before comps....I am far from perfect and try not to judge anyone....if you need to wonder if your coach is doing something you don't like during comps....then you need to act on that....I am sure most coaches don't abuse it and what you are suggesting is yet ANOTHER example of the few bad apples spoiling something intended to be a good thing.....If parents would not patronize those coaches that can't handle ir.....they would be gone...thus ending the problem....IMO
