Our rules are a good deal stricter than theirs as well. They are talented but their routine would have to change greatly to be allowed to compete over here.

Which is what I like about our rules over here because they aim at being safe whereas half the stuff they do in their routines over there are scary to think about being taught. I could imagine the things that happen when they try them for the first time and fail.
People seem to forget the difference in rules over here so if they brought that routine over here it would either be looked over Bangkok style as far as deductions go or they would get so many deductions they wouldn't come close to winning.

What is your opinion on that issue?

Should the USASF have to offer a comparable event on the continent of Asia or Africa - to make it more convenient for the Eastern Hemisphere to participate and attend. (I understand the financial benefit of having in the United States, but do you think this is fair to the teams from across the country?)

My general philosophy is that any organization or event should stand on its own merits and not strong arm folks into attending (or not attending a competing event). Competition creates better events with better value/cost ratios.

Yeah, it is hard for a lot of people to see situations like they actually are. I still believe cheerleading over here, in general, is about 15 years in front of the rest of the World. When you add on our safety AND the other scoresheet requirements (and not be so heavily biased to building) their teams would dramatically change how they compete. Having a team full of specialists who might tumble physically look different than a team full of all-a-rounders who have to do it all. (not taking anything away from what they can perform, their pyramids are great, but that is their main concentration. they are pyramid teams who enter cheer competitions).

Sounds like yet another future new USASF division, in the making. LOL

Liability and risk aside (both very valid concerns) I find these teams spectacular to watch, and among my favorites at Worlds. I would hate to see them completely disappear. And no, I won't fly to the Far East to see them.
