Wow, I know at my job, if you take a Bereavement Day, in order to be paid, you must show proof of attendance and bring a program establishing that you are part of the family in some ways...However, you can use a Personal Day, if you are an acquaintance or friend of the bereaved person and you do not need to bring a program...
Good luck! Which uni (if you don't mind me being nosy haha)?I've just applied to be team captain of my university cheerleading team next year! Eeeek
I've found that level 6 teams are either amazingly impressive or downright shouldn't-be-cheering scary. There is just no in-between for some reason.Today was my first time watching level 6 teams live. They're even more impressive in person than in video...I was blown away!

Maybe it's a Field of Dreams philosophy? If you build it, they will come? Maybe the gym knows something you aren't yet aware of, such as a program in close proximity closing or merging with them, and they know there will be demand for these new teams. Or maybe they're just delusional, who knows?I don't understand gyms that announce new teams they're adding to their program the next season, when tryouts haven't already happened and the current season isn't over yet. You don't actually even know what kids will show up to try outs...
