I was curious..
I was reading the USASF age grid, and lets say you're on USASF international lvl 5 team, you have to be 15+
But on a IASF international lvl 5, you have to be 17..
Why is it different?
IASF has been 14 for at least the last couple seasons for level 5, it's 17 for level 6. USASF increased to 15 last year because they were trying to make the age in line with level 6, so 17, but they were doing it gradually by upping the age by one each year. But I guess the IASF didn't want to change level 5 so USASF switched back to 14 for this upcoming season (2013-2014). The age is pretty confusing though because it goes by the actual year you are competing. So someone who turns 14 on December 31, 2014 can compete at Worlds 2014, but they can't compete this season until January.
I hope this makes some sense lol.
