LOL.. well, he was kinda right. It looked like they were doing some single base stunts. Center flyer started to fall and looked like she grabbed flyer next to her. That flyer fell and hit her head. It was kind of hard to tell exactly what they were doing because of camera angle. It appeared as though she might have been knocked out becasue she wasn't moving and/or trainers didn't let her move. However, once they got her immobilized, she was able to smile and give a thumbs up. I am sure her other teammate feel awful, but it was simply an accident.
Ouch. I hope she's ok and a sensational fall is all it was. If she's injured, college is in for some more changes
It's up to about a level 4 for all girl and pyramids. Squads are still allowed to perform level 6 stunts and pyramids at football games, though. The issue is that when someone gets injured in sideline cheerleading it doesn't stop the cheerleading... it stops the sport they are supporting. And at basketball games it is SO high profile that last time there was a serious injury (NIU cheerleader doing the fight song while being led off on a stretcher) the rules for college cheerleading changed dramatically. No more double fulls, no trick flipping and twisting twice (kick doubles), no more flipping and twisting stunts, only level 3 ish stuff at basketball games (I know there are some finer details I am missing). Now this happens again and with social media being able to plaster things everywhere I can see things getting more restrictive. The issue is they don't just restrict what happens at games... it is across the board.
I guess long live international open!

What flyer in their right mind grabs the flyer next to her to save herself? I thought we were taught not to do that on mini teams.
