USASF is not making money off of this. They use Worlds revenue to fund all of the programs they run all year and put on next year's Worlds.

I'd like to give this a standing ovation. I just don't think a shimmy would cut it! USASF openly displays their budget and certainly isn't getting rich off of Worlds. That being said, neither are the judges, folks! Like @Andre said, it's a long day, with very few breaks (and a break truly isn't restful when you're only rushing to choke down some food, pee and then head back to the arena!) and very low pay. When all is said and done, most judges work for under minimum wage, if you were to calculate it out per hour. Like @Jennaw said, if it was about the money, I'd have quit years ago!
