Nope, SMALL is in the eye of the beholder. GBE-9 teams---4 elite travel and 5 non-travel, maybe 125 kids. Appleton Fusion-5-6 teams, maybe 85 kids. We are small when you realize that Wisconsin is behind in the growth of All-Star cheerleading. There are probably 20 gyms total in the state, combined with really conservative values-i.e.tight with a buck. We all know how truly $$$$$$ this sport is.
Many of the gyms choose to stay in-state for competing--cheaper. But you will not grow in skill, maturity, and make a statement of PRESENCE. "Here we are, Take notice" if you continually stay within such a small competion area. This not the road GBE nor FUSION chose. They want to compete at the Large competitions, they want to grow in Experience and they have very Supportive cheer parents. A great example of 2 Gyms and Coaches with great vision and goals.
