i definitely recommend trying them on. I can wear a 4 or a 6. They also are great about returning. I have bought things online that were on sale which are supposed to be final sale, and they have been great about giving store credit, or exchanging them if they don't work out.

Oh that's awesome! My friends have all said great things about their customer service too, which is what has prompted me to give them a shot! I already know that I'll end up spending wayyyyy too much money there [emoji16]

You have me beat, I've never heard of her before.

I still use my Youtube from my middle/early high school days when cheerlebs were still 'too much' but still somewhat based in talent. I somehow stumbled on her because she was around my age.

She often talks about how she isn't a cheerleb because she never made it to worlds. She doesn't even have the tumbling she had when she made her college team.

Follow their instructions for washing and everything stays in great shape. Cold water, no fabric softener, air dry.

Y'all if you didn't watch the spelling bee this year you missed out!! So happy for these kids

I'm glad both won

But Nihar is the G. O. A. T

I died laughing the first time Jiram misspelled a word and Nihar was in the back shaking his head....and then when he sat down, Nihar clapped in his face

Take a guy who knows about that stuff with you! Do your research before you ever step foot in a dealership/lot. You can find out what the ballpark pricing should be online. Best deal I ever got (and I proudly did it alone) was pitting two online reps against each other online.

Hmm, my roommate might be able to go, but most likely not. I'll probably be doing it myself. I have done my research though. And I have a stubborn budget. It's the first car I've ever bought for myself, and I need a piece of junk for no more than 11,000$, preferably an SUV with all-wheel drive that isn't much more than 5 years old.

If they ask my budget, should I say 9,000? What about negotiating? I'm thinking I'll come prepared with some cars I've found online and see if they'll drop a slightly nicer car to the lower price.

I've never actually bought a car BUT my parents and I are looking currently. Check out car rental places. Hertz, Avis, and Enterprise will sell their used cars, but they've only been used as rentals. You can get pretty good prices there at least for the cars I've looked at - not sure about SUV's in your price range specifically. Plus they're usually pretty new (under 5 years old). You can browse online for cars near you. That's how my parents got their most recent car for a really good price.

Any tips for buying a car for the first time?
Do your research. In NJ, dealerships are closed on Sunday, so that's the day everyone goes around and looks at cars. Have several options of the type of car you want, and know what the price points are for each car. Know how much you can afford, and what a good price for the car is. Be firm, but realize the salesman is making a crappy commission, so they don't want to lose too much money. Don't be afraid to walk away from their best offer. If they let you walk away, it probably is as low as they can go.

It gets really entertaining in the final rounds - especially with @cheerKT and @gofriars610 commentary. I need them on the stage next year giving live commentary. Given the continued history with ties, I'm beginning to think there are some deals made ahead of time though, so it's tainted a little bit for me. I find it hard to believe that Nahir suddenly didn't know how to spell an elimination word - twice - when he was giving the definition of most of them and could spell every word each contestant was given.

Do not purchase a car based on how low the payments are. That is a way for the dealer to extend out payments by many months on a more expensive car that you may not be able to afford anyway.

If you already have the 11,000 in hand and are paying for the car all at once definitely tell them your budget is a couple of thousand less.

Also don't forget about taxes, title and registration fees.

Start little lower than you want to pay. Have the $ in hand or say you don't need a loan and can pay today for your price. As above definitely don't say what your payment can be a month. Walk away if too much, if they want to sell it they will. Bring a guy friend then they won't try as much to BS you! [emoji1]

It is going to be the longest day ever.....
It's a training holiday for the active duty component so we have no patients. A day full of staring at the screen, scrubbing charts, chart audits, etc. Almost 2 hours down and I want to go home already.

Yall I'm working in an office for the summer and have basically no work to do (what a thing to be complaining about right ;)) Days are starting to get long though and I need something to fill the time!
