Twist and Shout Genesis (IOC6) - Day 1
There first stunt was a little shaky but the synchronisation on this team is so good for their (I think) first comp! Wow!

COED LEVEL 6's PLEASE TAKE NOTES! The amount of tumbling that these athletes have overall is impressive especially for this division. I hope this become precedence, like the only way you can be competitive is with more tumbling. I know the level 6 scoresheets favor stunting but my oh my I do enjoy a well rounded team :cheering:

At worlds all the tumbling won't really matter though, since it's basically easy to max out in tumbling on that score sheet. So that's probably why most level 6 teams don't focus on it as much as their stunts. But on the varsity scoresheet tumbling helps

At worlds tumbling is worth 15% of the scoresheet total. So this "COED LEVEL 6's PLEASE TAKE NOTES" comment is nonsense. You might like it, but it's not worth it for a team to put much emphasis on tumbling when building is worth something like 65%.

@Angelica - it's not easier to max out on tumbling in level 6. It just doesn't hurt you anywhere as much to not do so.

Also- how many level 6-ers are ACTUALLY people who have gone through the allstar system to level 5 before hitting 6, versus those who hit at most level 3/4 before joining a team? Not to mention the incredible difficultly of fielding teams at that level to begin with.

Quite frankly, I'd take a few well-executed tucks and bhs over fulls-for-necessity in level 6.

Most of our guys started cheering in high school or later, and some of our girls (myself included) never did all star before level 6. Tumbling is not the point of level 6.
