Shimmying this into infinity hahaha.

Like its a piece of baggy clothing with writing on the back. Its not exactly groundbreaking.

But then again I'm not in a sorority so what do I know

what makes it even more amusing is that they pay 40 bucks for it.... i cant help but secretly point and laugh.

I looooove my spirit jersey. I love a good oversize long sleeve shirt but my spirit jersey is special too me. They didn't really become a thing until my last year on campus, otherwise I'm sure I would have a million. I don't have one for my sorority, because I knew I would be graduating soon and I wanted to wear it past that. Instead I got one for my school. It was $54 I think, but also used as a fundraiser for a youth literacy program. It's a pretty garnet color (our school color) and says SOUTH CAROLINA est. 1801 on the back. I'm actually sad it's warmer now and I can't wear it all the time.

The biggest draw for me is the comfort. I wore mine with leggings and boots, adding a scarf if it was cold. It was perfect for those days when I had 5 classes back to back and was running all over campus. I love that it's heavier than a long sleeve shirt and lighter than a sweatshirt, perfect for SC winters.

It's also weird to me that they are breaking into cheerleading because I don't see it as athletic attire. Even hoodies and stuff I can understand but I guess that's just me. Most I've seen in cheer are super thin and cheap, which just ruins it for me because I love the thickness of the originals.

It's cool if yall think it's ugly, my mom does too. I'm comfortable =)

Ooo that's awkward. I can just see people being like "when did she join?!" Can't you get in trouble if you give away (well in this case she took it) stuff with Greek letters to someone who isn't in your sorority? One of my sister's best friends is in one and my sister wanted a shirt with the letters but she said she couldn't give her one because she could get in trouble or something.
Is that a thing? My sister got me sigma kappa shorts for my birthday. They're just running shorts with it embroidered where the nike symbol would be.... Now I'm afraid to wear them!

Another reason I find it amusing: I see so many girls wear spirit jerseys on campus. In Florida, and not just when it's cold. I know you're not comfortable because you're sweating. Just wear a tshirt with a frocket or something.

No idea! It might be unique just to that sorority. She was a tri sigma.

ETA: Random interesting fact, my cousins sorority calls them "coastal jerseys"

In my chapter you couldn't wear the letters until you were initiated. We would ask new members not to wear them until then and if we had to ask them multiple times they could potentially get in trouble. It never really got to that point though.

They can't really threaten you with anything if you aren't a member. How would they punish you? haha The most they could probably do is ask you not to I guess.

Unless you are in college with a chapter there that you are wearing them around I think you're fine. You can't really get "in trouble" for it.

Just tonight I purchased Victoria Secret Pink's version of the Spirit Jersey, called the Varsity Crew, and I am in love. It's extremely comfortable, covers my butt, has a good fit, etc. It was fifty dollars but I think it was worth it for the quality, it's long sleeve and heavy enough to wear on cooler days but the inside is a lighter soft almost terry cloth like material which allows to to also be a beach cover up.

Yeah, I just saw a girl wearing that exact shirt except it was Pitt and had Pitt's date and was navy. I think they're really cute actually!

I was about to buy a Victoria's Secret one...and then I tried it on. I know these spirit jerseys are supposed to have a loose fit, but even an xs was HUGE on me. I do really like the one created for worlds though because I love Tiffany blue!

I think it just depends on what it is... our previous president's younger sister would like to wear our "party" shirts to school (not party shirts but anything for an event or function that was just a regular t shirt ex: parent's weekend, homecoming, whatever) but she wasn't allowed to wear the actual stitched letter shirts if you know what I mean.
You're fine! And you're a legacy so don't be afraid

I bought a medium but probably could have gone with the small..however, I like the fit of the medium. It covers my butt and front so I can wear it with leggings but I don't think I would ever wear it with jeans. If I got a small I think it would work with jeans and I think I'm addicted now so I'll have to pick and choose which I want for jeans and which I want for leggings.

Of topic but did PINK always have a sale section? It impressed me tonight.
