I'm looking for a new foundation, idk what it is but my Tarte amazonian clay foundation isn't doing it for me, even with moisturizer, primer, and everything on it doesn't cover my redness and breakouts. I've been seeing around that Estee lauder double wear foundation, makeup forever HD, and the kat von d are some pretty talked about foundations. I like a very full coverage foundation and a thicker consistency...anyone have experience on these?
I love Estee Lauder Doublewear. I actually just stopped wearing it because the Revlon ColorStay does the trick for me, but I was wearing DoubleWear for the past year. It's an awesome solution if you have dark spots or breakouts.

Pros:
Doesn't move all day if you prime underneath
Covers dark spots and blemishes
Buildable coverage (I would stipple more over my problem areas and it never looked darker in those spots)

Cons:
Very matte which can leave your face looking flat. You need to contour/highlight with it to get a great looking face)
Pricey ($39 a bottle) but that would last me a few months.

Alright EL Doublewear folks, after a week of wearing Revlon ColorStay instead, I AM CONVERTED. I swear to you, it's just as good and $29 cheaper. ColorStay stays on my face for 12 hours just like DoubleWear. Actually, I like it better right now because it isn't as thick and I don't look like I'm wearing a mask.

I used to wear that, but it kept getting all over my clothes! (despite their claims that it wouldn't)

Haven't tried it in a few years though. I may give it another try.

I just recently started filling in my eyebrows and I started out with some expensive stuff from sephora but hated it so i gave it to my mom. I decided to give it another try and bought this gel / powder from elf and I LOVE IT!! it makes my eyebrows look so good and i always get compliments!!

Sorry for the double post but this just caught my eye.

I have been using the Stila brow set for about 15 years. But I'm really not that excited about it - it comes off really easily. I have just never changed because I never saw anything that looked any different.

Where did you get this?

ETA is it this?

Hmmm. I haven't had to blend into my neck because I'm spray tanned right now. I'll let you know how it is when I am bringing it down a little farther. I also use a setting spray, so I think that helps. If you try it again, try the NYX Dewey Setting Spray on top.

I have a problem with my foundation being splotchy at the end of the day (i do touch my face alot, :() is there anything that will prevent that/help it? I'm not using a primer but am using UD makeup setting spray.

This is my routine for my dry but breakout prone skin. I used to have the same issue where my foundation would get splotchy and patchy at the end of the day and basically slide off my face.

Moisturizer: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle cream
Primer: Smashbox or Tarte Clean Slate Poreless
Foundation: Estee Lauder DoubleWear or Revlon ColorStay
Setting Spray: NYX Dewey Setting Spray

Don't touch your face if you can avoid it. If you need to, use a tissue.

How do you put on your EL foundation? I'm thinking about trying it out, and right now I put on my Tarte a.c. foundation with a beauty blender, i've seen some people use a flat top kabuki also

I use a foundation brush that looks like a big paint brush. It was part of a set from Sephora. I don't love it but I don't hate it. The only problem is that the foundation is so long wearing that it doesn't come off the brush.

The trick is to press it into your skin and stipple. The ELDW is thick so if you wipe instead of stipple with the brush, it'll create weird lines.

I've never used a beauty blender but they intrigue me!

Mostly from changing clothes, not so much from it being on my neck. I mean, all make-up comes off a little if you smear your shirt across it, but oddly the colorstay came off more than any other!

I'll try the spray!

Try the flat top kabuki foundation brush. It works better than the flat paint brush looking one. It's easier to blend and stipple.
