I know your mom is super proud of you regardless. I agree with the post above - she was probably just caught off guard. So you take it again. I know you're disappointed but this is not the end of the world. Some of the smartest, most successful people I know had to retake classes in college, including some docors. Sometimes things just don't click the first time.
It's ok to be upset and disappointed, but after break you dust yourself off and get back on the horse.
I had many friends that struggled with orgo in nursing school. One of them took it at a local community college before taking it at her university. Seemed to work well for her. Maybe that's an option for some of your other classes? It beats the price of taking it twice at your university.
I hope I did this right, I've never tried replying to 2 people at once. Thank you both for your advice. I'll be using the break as a time to regroup and go over notes/re-read the chapters. I have a different professor next semester too, so hopefully that will help some as well. I talked to both of my parents again today, and they reassured me that they're still proud of everything that I've accomplished. I can't wait to see them tomorrow when I go home.
I also wanted to say that I am so grateful to have a place like Fierceboard. Even though I was never an allstar cheerleader, it's nice to see how kind and supportive everyone here is, even to those of us who never competed. I really appreciate it.
