Wait - 3 uniforms for a team that doesn't even compete!?! Are they 3 new uniforms every year?
1 new uniform per year, 2 reused but JV and Varsity have different sets so you buy 3 new uniforms every other year and one on the off year.

My CP cheers 1-3 games a week with 1 uniform. I wish we had two, but there is only 1.

My question is, when you have multiple uniforms who owns them, the school or the cheerleader?

My daughter owns her 1 uniform. The squad gets new uniforms every 3 years. It is not an ideal situation and I hope it changes.
Depends on the program. If there are more that 3 uniforms, then I can guarantee you that the school/cheer program owns them.[/QUOTE]
Not true here. Girls own everything. It's been that way since I was in high school. Before I came to this board I had never heard of schools owning cheer uniforms.

That must be so expensive for you guys.

Yes - its legal ... and the rips don't really bother me (yes its awful) but even if there weren't rips it's still an awful uniform. :(
Technically its showing the girls middle which isnt allowed. I'm curious how others at competitions are going to think.

When I cheered in high school we had one super old uniform, like flyaway skirt and same top as the red one in the first bring it on old, this was in my possession but we never actually wore it. Then we had some that were purchased in the really early 2000s I want to say (that were gorg but kinda falling apart) then my senior year (2013) we got new ones. I want to say we were allowed to get new unis every 6 years (or something along those lines? I don't really remember) as long as we fundraised for them & the school owned them.

In MI a lot of teams have 3 unis to switch from round 1/2/3 at comps. Obvs we never got to do that lol
