Really though... If you look at it... I don't think it's someone associated with the program... I'm pretty sure it's just a "fan" or someone who went to the school... I say this because we have stupid sites like this in our town where some wanna be comedian alumni kid with WAY too much time on their hands shows up on social media from time to time and spouts off about everything from cafeteria food to rival soccer matches. They "burn book" students, athletes, certain programs around town... Basically whoever they can make a good joke about that day. Yea, there's some inside information... But nothing someone couldn't get from having a girlfriend/sister or best friend who was a previous/current squad member.
Agreed to all of it, but I as a coach would most definitely bring to my teams attention and simply say if you wrote any of it or know someone who did delete it. It looks poorly on the program as a whole. Social media is a cancer that fuels bitterness that is unnecessary. Not to mention it can wreck havoc when athletes are being recruited for college, as my son was asked to write down his social media pages... It was very interesting to listen to the recruiters talk openly how they have people who check in on their potentials all year long and if they have inappropriate statuses, posts, tweets or pics, it gets noted in a file they keep and then it's reviewed.
Teens think that it doesn't matter later on but it can indeed affect their future. :) that is all I'm saying .

I watched Delval in person. Of course the kids are talented and I mean no disrespect, but that routine wasn't going to win. Saltyness there is uncalled for if that's what it was about. Just not their year. Kids need to learn trashing each other on social media does nothing but make you look bad. Get back to work and try again next year!
Yes and I agree too! I think this is bitterness stemming from a few years ago 2014 I believe.

Funny this is a topic right now.. Last night we had an issue where a cross town cheer squad was saying some stuff about our squad. Note: we have been getting a lot of attention for attending Nationas in our area because a lot of people here attend USA...So when people heard Florida and ESPN and UCA Nationas, naturally we got some pats on the back.... The other squad started saying That we "paid our way into nationals" (not sure how one does that) and that our rank wasn't our rank ... Ahem, we didn't rank high.. Quite low actually... (They didnt understand the A and B grouping system)... After we expressed we didn't move on from initial competition day?! then they said that the trip was FREE for our kids and the school paid for everyone to go ("that we had some kind of privilege "... (While the other stuff I sort of roll my eyes at, This one kinda irritated me in that all of our parents worked REALLY really hard to fund raise for the trip.. Parents worked double over time... Got extra side jobs... One kid got a job as a receptionist at a hair salon on top of practice and games just to afford to go... It's really sad they were trying to take what they "earned" and "worked" hard for , for their trip. I have kids that have never been on a plane, never left California... This was a once in a lifetime deal for them... It's a bummer they felt they needed to dilute this experience for them) The unfortunate thing... They're a great squad. They're just as capable of going to a national championship... The energy people spend on negativity.

What?! I saw a bunch of CA schools went to UCA and I thought it was awesome... UCA and USA are completely different and I love that teams are going to Florida and showing what they've got.

What school are you from?

As I always say....

Those who can, do. Those who can't, talk crap.

2016 Cheerleading Camps | UCA Cheer Camps kind of related but this might be a game changer. Basically teams can get national bids at their camps now.

That is incorrect.

They've implemented a rule that forces you to attend cheer camp in order to be eligible for a bid at a qualifier. You still have to attend the qualifier and earn a bid competitively. You can host a home camp and earn the "credential."

Oh I didn't read that closely. They should try to do that similar to how NCA does theirs.

My daughter isn't doing high school cheer any longer, but I'm curious about this. They definitely got a bid to UCA nationals last summer at camp.

Was it for the Game Day Division? You need to go to UCA camp to compete in Game Day.
