Thank you for your information but $150 is not affordable I would not pay over $50 for cheer hair. Sewing in takes minutes and is 100% not going to fall out. Styling with out heat (rollers) on synthetic fake takes same time as heat styling and works great. They have looked great all season and could last into the next but at $15 I could buy a new one whenever needed.
Glad you found something you like. Ours is 1/2 price of Posh Making it a more affordable real hair alternative.

More affordable than the posh ones yes...still very expensive though.
I hear ya...I thought that too when I first stared making them. I was shocked that they could be $300-$400. My daughter's hair is long and it was getting so damaged. I was determined to design one that didn't hurt and was secure but mostly that looked natural and reasonably priced. Our gym doesn't allow the fake hair.
It cost me about $110 to go to the salon and get my own hair done. And I only go 2-3 times a year. She takes about 2.5-3 hrs to color, cut and style it. It takes me about 4-5 hours, if I don't have to custom color the hair, to design a custom cap, sew, trim, tease and curl each hair piece and get it totally ready to use. 2 hours more if I have to color the hair to match. The hair itself is most of the cost. I understand it seeming expensive, I guess you could say ours is in the middle, ... the Honda of hair pieces. But it is real natural hair and hand made in USA. I'm not making tons on money I just want to help solve a problem and make getting ready a less stressful.

Do you have a link??? Super interested as I've been looking for a cheap alternative all season!

This website seems to have a lot of options varying in price and style. Some of them are synthetic & some of them are real hair.
Hope that helps.

I have ordered from this site. Don't waste your money, particularly on their human hair products. They are VERY thin and really only suitable for a mini aged child. The net is way too small for an average bun, and shoes through the hair. The synthetic ones are a bit better, but they DO NOT tease at ALL. Ratted mess.

Bottom line is that quality human hair is expensive. You aren't going to pay less than $50-75 for 100% human hair of any quality, plus labor to make the hairpiece. Synthetic hair is a more affordable alternative, but you can definitely tell it isn't real hair. It is shiner and has a totally different texture. You can get a synthetic pony for $35-50, but it definitely isn't going to pass for real hair. It really comes down to what you want and what you are willing to spend, but there isn't really a real hair alternative under $100 that is worth the money spent on it.

Nothing to do with willing to spend, it's affordability.

Synthetic hair can be dulled so it doesn't have the shiny fake look, that's easy.

Still looks fake IMO. I can always spot it,even with product on it to dull. Mostly because it doesn't tease like natural hair. The fibers stretch and snarl when it's teased and just look ratty.

A) depends how experienced you are working with synthetic hair.

B) that doesn't tale away from the cost, of its the only option, then that's what people will use.

I appreciate your input, but can't afford real hair ones, and won't ever be able to so my CP will either have to put up with her hair being done each comp, or have synthetic ones.

No matter how good you are, synthetic fibers will never tease like real hair. You will always stretch and damage the synthetic fibers. They will always look like synthetic.

The other problem with synthetic is the weight. It's almost twice the weight of the same amount of natural hair. There's a mom trying to sell a high end synthetic on a Facebook cheer resale now because it's too heavy for her CP to tumble in.

What about making your own? You could get hair for $50-70 with a coupon from Sally. There have been several tutorials posted here and there are lots on YouTube.

Do you happen to know how well these match darker hair? About 90% of my girls have dark hair and we got some a few years ago that we could not match...

I have ordered from them, and quality aside they seem to do a good job matching really dark or light hair. Medium brown to dirty blonde, not so well. Anything lighter than a #4 is iffy. You can order a color ring from them.

What is the best company to go for for a pin up ponies style hair piece?

We have a pinup, lots of people at our gym have posh. It expends on what you want. I like the x tie system on the pinups. Some people prefer the sew in method, which is what posh uses. Pinups has a few stock colors, will help, you with a custom match, or let you send in your own pack of hair. Posh has more stock, but you don't have the option to send in your own hair.

I ordered a little over a year ago. Pinups was more responsive to my requests for color help.
