To stay on a top team, you have to. Fly or die grows old pretty quickly when there are 6-7 12 year old flyers ready to step in on a moment's notice. She has a great attitude about transitioning from flyer to base.
And they either have to get over it quickly or decide that they no longer want to cheer. Top teams do not really tolerate that attitude for too long; they have plenty of kids who not only want to fly but want to base.Agree, but have seen some girls react very differently to it.
She seemed realistic about it. She can also see the difference in her size versus the size of the girls going in the air. And that is not saying anything negative about her in any way.I was wondering if part of Cami's reaction to basing instead of flying stems from her falling during last season Worlds, I think her stunt group fell twice and that was her 1st year on Smoed... Maybe Cami think she deserved her fate because she was not all gungho about not flying...
There was a pretty big story in the Twitter cheer world this season about a girl who attended tryouts in Texas but did not make a team. She finally found another gym that was still adding after tryouts but she quit because they wanted her to backspot instead of fly can never understand why one position is worth giving up the whole sport.Agree, but have seen some girls react very differently to it.
They usually don't have every guy on small coed teams do single based coeds. Could be wrong, but my guess is he won't be doing that his first year on their team.
